Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
"The Granite" is a great playable traditional family home that is perfect for your sims. The best thing about his house is quite possibly the functional side car garage!

This house has 4 bedrooms (one is decorated as an office), and 3 full baths. The house has an open floorplan and from the foyer you can see the dining room, great room and gourmet kitchen. The kitchen also has a breakfast nook. The master suite and office are secluded on one side of the house while the other bedrooms and bath are located on the other. The garage has access from a central hallway.

Another great feature of this house, is the screened in porch. The porch has access from the breakfast nook, master suite and great room. Have a perfect BBQ free from bugs!

Outside the landscaping is lovely, with mature trees and flowers almost everywhere you look! A guest house is also outside and would be perfect for an older realive, slacker brother or even a teenager. There's also a sparkling pool complete with diving board & water slide. A kid's area is also outside with swing set and sand box.

This house is CC free, so you can download with out worry. Just move your sims in and enjoy. Why not treat your sims to a new house today! And while your at it, why not hit that thanks button too. Cheers & Happy Simming!!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

The sideways garage was a bit tricky. First you have to understand that the direction of the light from the sim "sun" has a lot to do with how the garage door and extension piece will rotate. One you understand that, it will save you a lot of time.

First, figure out what size lot you want to build on, then find a four quadrant road in your neighhorhood. Then place four same sized lots down on the quadrant (you might have to move some lots in your neighborhood around, but you can always move them back).

Enter one lot, type in the cheat moveobjects on select a floor tile from the build mode and then delete the sidewalk across the street. Once it's deleted, select the garage door from the build mode. It will rotate. If that's the way you want it rotated ... great! If not, then exit that lot and repeat the same above steps on the other empty lots. Once the door rotates the way you want it to, don't save. Exit the lot. Now enter and place down the driveway piece and build the garage. Now, delete the sidewalk and rotate the garage door and extension piece. Tada! A sideways garage!!

Sorry about rambling. I hope the above makes sense. I'm just so glad I finally figured it out!

That's incredible, the amount of work you put into this and it shows, especially with the garage. I'm surprised this wasn't featured because it's one of the most amazing lots I've seen! :D
