Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Concept:
The idea behind this house is, that there is just one floor, like in a old latin villa. Therefore, it's not a big, hollywood, villa we use to know.
I think the most exciting part is the roof. It's covering the whole lot whithin greenspaces. Therefore, there are some holes in the roof to ensure light for the greenspaces, pool, and balcony.

Update (on may 2008):
I've updated the house, because there are some weather dificulties with the seasons EP. So I built additional to the angled roof a second invisible roof. For this I used the invisible floor tiles from "moonlight muse" http://sumomo.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=166311.
For all the people who have already furnitured their modern villa, I've made a tutorial, which shows how to patch up your home (see link):

Thanks:
Special thanks to simgedoehns, for their kindly permission of using "sekto ground-wallspot", which enabled a nice lightening at night. And thanks to reflexsims for their permission to use one of their wall/foors.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Very lovely house, amazing roof! Different and creative, I like that. Is it Seasons compatible? Will it keep snow/rain off of sims in the roofed areas? I assume so, but just wanted to double check.

I don't know if it is seasons compatible, because i stopped with the nightlife addon. From that point on I just build lots. There are some flat roof areas, but I hope that this shouldn't be a big problem. Let me know your experience,...

Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. It's actually very low in fat. You can have as much dust as you like.
