Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
No EPs required.

Starter house on a 1x2 lot, furnished for 1–2 sims, with a spare bedroom and bathroom. This is similar to Newbie Road 170, only smaller overall but with a bigger downstairs and a slightly different floorplan and it looks different and .. well, I guess they're not all that similar anymore =). Features:

1 x double bedroom
1 x single bedroom (empty)
2 x bathroom (1 empty)
1 x kitchen
1 x dining/living room

Additional living area upstairs (unfurnished). All basics included plus a stove and a mirror; an outdoor fire alarm is installed on the garden terrace. Playtested in the Base Game.

There is an unfurnished version as well; it is entirely empty (no fixtures) and costs 12.889§.

This lot is shrunk with Mootilda's LotAdjuster (v1.1, available here on mts2) – you can easily expand the lot with that if your sims want a bigger garden.

Lot Size: 1x2
Lot Price: 19.996§

Additional Credits:
The roof recolour shown in the screenshots is by Neveah223; it is not included with the lot but I'm attaching it as a separate zip.
Number of bedrooms: 2 Bedrooms
Custom Content Included: None
Furnishings: Unfurnished Starter Furnishings
Special Flags: Not Applicable

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

It's the roofs, isn't it? You make them all different with funky roof angles. And little details like arches or trees, right? It's like an experiment... How many unique floorplans can one make on an itty bitty lot?

Yeah, the roofs are pretty important =) by default, roofs are just giant useless blobs in the base game. But there's workarounds!

For anyone interested in the subject (how to make non-box roofs, particularly in the Base Game), I've updated my Bigger Attics thread with some screenshots and info regarding dormers:

I really like this house! I like the fact that it has no CC, it's simple, all in game stuff, and it won't slow my game down. Thanks
