I always loved this house from The Grudge movie. I can watch this movie again and again just to admire the details of this lot: the entrance, the interiors, especially the doors and windows, all things that reminds me of the 1930's or '40s builds.

So I can't pass the challenge to build it, though unfortunately I miss those great Art Deco building elements in Sims 2. The Sims-version of the lot is not haunted (unless one of your sims dies here), and not furnished (fixtures only) because I don't want to be it very expensive to buy. Besides, as in the movie, upstairs rooms have to be unfurnished, empty and dirty.

I have built this lot as a vacation home for my Takemizu Village (BV EP), but I'm sure it can be used as residential in any neighborhoods. It has 5 (!) bedrooms, 2 bathrooms; I really tried to simulate the arrangement of rooms from the movie with special care!

I playtested a clone of this lot. No CC!

Lot Size: 3x4
Lot Price: 103.000 §

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I gave it a try today, and I got the same response as you; on the other hand, when I check my My Scorecards in my Profile, it seems, that there are successful downloads in these days, too (20 downloads in April 4th, 19 downloads in April 3th and so on). So it seems to me that technically it is downloadable, only some of us have no luck to do it (don't know why).

Sad news are that since uploading the Grudge house, I have uninstalled Sims2, and (intentionally) lost all my custom-built lots. It means I cannot upload them again! because I have no original lot files. I'm very sorry if it's unpleasant for some of you. The only chance to get this lot (even for me) is hoping that one day we'll be lucky to download from here...
