Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Most of these small dog breeds used to be on the AMjoie Virtual Life website, which sadly no longer exists. I have had requests to put these breeds online, again. So here they are. (A few more have been added, and some are updated. So you may want to check out the changes and additions.)

I have not shown photo comparisons to real breeds because I do not believe the Sims 2 game gives us the right tools to even come passably close to approximating a real breed. So I have made my breeds to please my own eye. Some are from my imagination and some were inspired by a real breed, but do not come close enough for me to call them by an actual breed name.

The rar includes the following breeds:

Apartment Dog in Dark, Light and Multi; Apartment Shetland in Darker and Lighter; Bailey Boy; Black/White Cockerpoo; Lady Julie Spaniel; Blond Lady Julie Spaniel; Puppy Spaniel; Chiua in Brown/White and Tan/White; Mini Italian Racer in Liver and Silver; Jacque Terrier; Jacqueline Terrier; Mini Rolf Setter; Miniature Schnauz; Mini Pood-L in Apricot, Blue, Blush, Champagne, Charcoal Black, Chocolate, Cream, Silver, White; Toy Megchester; Firehouse Puppy Dog

See the required images below -- and here is an extra one just for fun.

(You must have the pink color unlocked in your game for my dogs to be correctly colored. If you haven't done that, yet, see the instructions in the comments section below.)

PLEASE NOTE: I use Nurse4Kitties default pet eye replacements. They are available at MTS2. Without this default replacement in your game, my breeds will not look right. http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=216381

These breeds go into the PetBreeds folder of your game. If you find you like my breeds better than the Maxis/EA breeds, it will not hurt your game to remove the Maxis/EA breeds you do not like so that my breeds show up more often in the random adoption slots or as strays.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

So you slightly altared real dog breed names? Hmmmm, Pood-L sounds a lot like Poodle, suspiciuos, yes. These are pretty nice though I'll probably go rambling on about the similar names though. I would say the Pood-L does come a bit close to an actual Pood-L(Poodle).

My indecisiveness will be the end of me x_x

LOL. Well, my Pood-L breed comes a "bit close" to the real breed, so the name fits.

I used to breed animals to a standard. For me to compare what can be created with CAS to a real breed standard just grates on everything I used to do as a breeder. My dogs, cats, and wilds sometimes *almost* resemble a real breed, and if the person who downloads them wants to play them as that breed, it is fine with me. I just can't actually make myself do a side by side comparison. (covers face in embarrassment, at the mere thought)

Default How to unlock the Pink color in your game ...
Make a copy of the kissingpoints package from the LockedBins folder of your game. Put it in a safe place. Now, unzip the attached file of the kissingpoints package I have attached, and put it into the LockedBins folder of your game. Let it overwrite the one that was in there. You will now see all of the unlocked colors, including pink.
Download - please read all instructions before downloading any files!
File Type: zip kissingpoints.package.zip (34.4 KB, 145 downloads)
Description: unzip and put into the LockedBins folder of your game
