(But the install directions are for Sims 2 files.)

The other day I decided to make a plaid pattern. This Burberry one was the first decent looking style I found, so I made the pattern. I had no idea that the pattern had a specific name or that Burberry was a designer. After I finished it, my wife saw the pattern on the screen and said "Oh, Burberry". I said "This pattern has a name?". She looked disappointed in my lack of knowledge and then she educated me. I also found out from another member here that I have an extra red line in there. So, sometime within the next few weeks I'll try to sit down and make a few other versions of it. One with the proper design, maybe a diagonal version, and smaller versions.

Thank you all for your thanks and comments!

This looks great. But where is it in the game? I placed the package file in mods/packages directory. I have resource.cng in the root directory of The Sims 3. (default). But when I select furniture, this does not show up. Also in the game launcher, it shows installed content and this pattern does not show up. Only my 3 downloaded lots do. Am I missing something? Thanks!

It's a pattern, so it won't be in furniture. If you go into build or buy mode and click on the paint palette icon, it'll bring up pattern options for whatever object you select. This pattern is under Fabrics in that menu. You can also do the same thing with clothing when creating sims.
