After a summer of computer problems, house moving and holiday I'm back with a new canal lot for the canal lot series. This is also my first starter lot. It seemed appropriate to keep a derelict building under 20,000

This is a squatter's dream. The building has a bedroom with a view:

Large kitchen facilities:

A wonderful outdoor bathroom:

As well as a grand living room:

There's really nothing more to say. All squatters are welcome ...

lot size: 2x3
lot price: 18,509

The lot has been build with AGS, a copy has been tested without issues and it's been cleaned with CI. Also, to avoid confusion please be aware that pictures have been taken within my main game with all the EPs and packs that I own.

credits for cc needed but not included
guatla - the whole lot is really a tribute to her wonderful creations!
broken kitchen and recolours
demolition set
fusteria doors and windows

grungy recolours for patio set

recolours for floor overlays
time factor set

floor overlays

closed canal lock and canal bank

credits for included cc
Apokalyptein car battery light and mattress sofa

retro patio bench and dining chair

Dr Pixel
crate dresser

stained teal bricks

always filthy chair and table, always filthy toilet and sink

additional credits:
All the cc, utility and program creators that made this lot possible.Thank you!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I like this a lot; however the stairs and the tiles need some additional grime, ecpecially considering the delapitated state of the second floor. Otherwise, I love the holes in the floor and walls.

slar, thank you. You are right about the grime, but I didn't want to use any custom connecting stairs because that would require people to figure out how to install them. guatla has made some great connecting stairs, though, that would fit right in.

Guardgian, thank you You're very good at giving compliments, you know that?!

simathome, all credits are stated in the overview, but since the bucket and mop are part of guatla's broken kitchen set recolours, this may not be very clear

It's awesome but these green tiles in living room look kinda weird. Other than that, good job!

I'm glad you're liking it. - And about the green tile, I know they're not everyone's cupa, but I happen to love the blue worn sofa together with the green Also, I really tried to minimise any additional cc, since the bones of the lot are all cc and those sets are pretty huge.

The beauty of this game is that anyone can redo the lot to look more like they want it ... I guess even squatters are allowed to redecorate

colnoelle, both the shower and the couch are Maxis items from the UNI expansion pack

- or did you mean the sleeping couch that looks like an old mattress? If so it's by Adele and there's a link provided already.

When I first saw this I thought... omgosh! It's where I'm going to be living in real life here shortly. Wooot! I can download it and give it a test drive before actually moving in. lol
I thought they said the economy was getting better? I totally disagree after getting laid off last week.
So... thanks for my new pad! It's a palace!

Tazzianna, I'm really sorry to hear about your job situation! I hope things'll work out for you and that you'll not have to end in this kind of "palace". (Looking for a new job myself I know that the situation is really difficult - and the problems are not even bad where I live.) Good luck!
