This is such a great series, plasticbox -- really useful because they will fit on any lot and are wonderful on those small, hard to fill ones. Very playable, too!

Thanks so much for sharing with us.

I like seeing inexpensive houses and I know what a challenge it can be to make a reasonable home at these prices. However, I question the notion of having the kitchen as the center of the home. One walks right into th kitchen upon entering the home, and the rest of the home is accessed from the kitchen. Just strikes me as being pretty weird.

tjstreak, this is not so uncommon on the countryside here =).

Besides, I always try to build lots so that at least two sides can be used as front side – since you can rotate the house on a lot, you can just as well use the "garden side" (with the little porch) as your front.

This is great. I like small starter homes. I mean the ones that come with the game are just horrible. Some are so small that you can't even have two Sims in the kitchen at once. Thank you for making starter homes more practical. I even see a small bed room good for kid or someone else.

This home is really nice, and I don't see many of them here. Thanks.

Very nice indeed. It is rare to find a starter home with more than one bedroom so this is nice for small families with a single child. I don't find the design of entering straight into the kitchen all that odd myself, especially on such a compact layout.

I love your Wee Barnoid houses. They're pretty and it's fun to play with them. Just curious: what kind of name is this: Wee Barnoid? Did you make it up or does it mean something?

Both.

wee: very small, tiny. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/wee

barn: a building for housing livestock (but originally just means "house"). http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/barn

-oid: a suffix meaning "resembling," "like," used in the formation of adjectives and nouns (and often implying an incomplete or imperfect resemblance to what is indicated by the preceding element). http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/-oid

It is also the best anagram of "Newbie Road" that I could find.
