This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

I have made this vest top for male adults with four different styles. I have included a package file with a neutral bumpmap. Without this file the outlines of the base game Mesh would be visible. The original basegame outfit doesn't look different with the neutral bumpmap.

Features:
  • For male adults (+ young adults).
  • New outfit. Doesn't overwrite any existing outfit.
  • Top
  • Everyday + Formal
  • All 4 styles are fully recolorable. 4 channels for recoloring.
    • Style1: untucked tie, vest, collar, shirt
    • Style2: tucked tie, vest, collar, shirt
    • Style3: vest, edge of vest, collar, shirt
    • Style4: vest, stripe on vest, collar, shirt

Here a detail views of the outfit:

Here you see the recoloring channels (layers) for all 4 styles:

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

See, I appreciate this cause I wanted this style for my males that look good. I had downloaded others but deleted cause the file size was too large. I find this so acceptable cause you have reseasonably compressed the file and yet have more than 2 color channels. I love this, thanks so much for your quality creations.

Thank you. I think these would be really great if converted down to teen boys and especially useful for the near empty formal wardrobe of boy children. I'll pop these in my game, though. So thanks again.

I haven't seperated them, so that the clothing is in a row in CAS. I have just created a file only with style1 for you. I haven't tested it in game. But it should work.

These look great! I wonder if anyone is planning to do a similar style for teen/young adult women? I love sweater vests!

Any chance of you making this for teen males? I can think of one sim of mine in particular that this shirt would be perfect for!

Difficult, because there is no Polo Mesh for the teens. And I don't know how to convert the Mesh for teens without creating gaps between neck and body. There will be a gap in course of the diffrent body weight sizes at the moment.
