Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
A romantic little country house, furnished for 2–3 sims, with a covered wrap-around porch and a basement.

1 x double bedroom
1 x single bedroom
1 x bathroom
1 x kitchen
1 x dining/living room
1 x basement (empty)

The bathroom is in the basement, supposedly a converted laundry room. The rest of the basement is empty. There is a small nook off the double bedroom that can be used as a studio or a study or whatever floats your sim's boat.

Prices given below (F = Furnished; U = Unfurnished) are when placed on a regular 20x30 lot. There is quite a bit of deco and stuff included, so it shouldn't be difficult to turn this into a starter.

Built on the smallest lot I have (16x18), so it can be rotated in any direction on every other lot. Two or three sides of the house would work as a street side. This is very playable from two or three camera angles, I only took the screenshots from different directions so that it becomes clear how the stairs are constructed.

Please don't PM me with questions. Post questions/feedback about this particular house in this thread, generic build mode stuff in the Build Mode forum. Thanks.

Base Game content only. This house will look exactly like on the screenshots.

Lot Size: 2x2

Number of bedrooms: 2 Bedrooms
Custom Content Included: None
Furnishings: Fully Furnished

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

CUTE!!!! I love the whole series...but this is my fave by a long shot. Good things really do come in small packages.

There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.

You've really out done yourself here So small but so intricately detailed, I love it! I never thought to hide the cut-outs for basement windows under stairs, excellent idea: I'll be using that later, thanks. Also, how on earth did you keep a 4 level house so cheap!? lol.

DLing as soon as I get to my home PC! :D

I love the cozy feel of this house. You're really talented with those split levels and attic rooms. I've gone through the tutorials for those techniques and I have tried them a few times with success. But I just have to say, your vision for small country style homes are sweet!
