Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Recurve Stand Beach Bar in the next of my collection of revamped community lots for Sunset Valley. This one is a lot created from scratch. I felt that not enough was being done with the beach lots and thought a beach bar would be the perfect thing for this cosy little beach.

To download more of my lots from the ‘Sunset Valley Revamped’ project see my journal: http://www.modthesims.info/journal....owjournal&j=984 You can also find out further information about the project itself here and progress.

I would have used the tiki set from the Store, however, I want to avoid using Store items in my neighbourhood since I don't want the final neighbourhood product to be full of paid items.

There's literally something for everyone at Recurve Strand!

This lot is the perfect party lot. There is a self-service buffet, plenty of seating spaces, numerous sterio systems, bars and even a television in the sports bar.

The beach is the perfect place for a family outing. There's plenty of space to eat, where you fancy a buffet or a family picnic and ample space for playing ball or anything else those kids fancy!

It is also a beautiful romantic setting. Come to the beach and watch the sunset with your loved one in one of the many secluded spots, followed by a romantic dinner...

Recurve Strand Beach House!

Due to numerous requests I've also made a beach house version of this lot, it is available at MTS here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?p=2894947 This house will fit on the same lot (sadly) but both Recurve Strand lots do fit on the 'Old Pier' beach in the centre of Sunset Valley if you relandscape it slightly.

This was uploaded late at night and I may have put stand instead of strand in places! Will fix this asap.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I can give it a try It would be more of an outside house though as there isn't much scope for indoor space. But then who would mind having to have living spaces outdoors when you live in such a place?

I downloaded this lot and was excited to put it into my neighborhood but when I click on it and tried to put it onto Recurve Strand, all I get is "Cannot put lot content on this lot". Why do I get that? The empty lot is set to community but it won't allow me to put this lot on it. I've encountered this issue before and don't know why. Any help would be apppreciated. BTW... the lot you created is beautiful and I would like to use it in my game but it won't let me.

I've had this problem before, 2 solutions I've tried...

1. Bulldoze the lot (even if there's nothing on it)
2. Change the lot type to residential, then back again to community
3. Build a wall or something on it, bulldoze it, and try again.

Those are the things I usually try. Good luck!

Ur graphics are Amazing! I cant wait to get my new customised lappie. I have a 2 yr old pink vaio and I LOVE Sony, but I got silly and opted for color over internal quality.

Hi, guys! I'm having the same problem as Lady Sakura, so I tried to follow the steps Nally suggested as a solution, but it's not working for me. The thing is when I bulldoze the community lot (the beach), the lot totally desappears. So I'm not able to change the lot type from commercial to residential. =/

Does anyone have another solution to replace my beach lot? I am trying to place it on Recurve Strand, just for information.

Me too lol. I bulldozed it then the lot totally disappeared! But here is what I did now (and it worked) and hopefully it will for you.
* Try editing the lot, like put some random walls or floors.
* Go back to "Edit Town"
* THEN Bulldoze the lot (and notice the floors/walls you made are gone)
* Try placing the lot again.
