This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.

Want that new desk just to spice up your office or bedroom? Then this is the piece you need. Who doesn't love Swedish flat packed furniture, certainly not me, I love the stuff!

Be sure to pick up a desk for your Sims soon

(24.12.09) PLUS I have run this package through Delphy's Blue Lot Fixer and patched up this package making sure it never causes any problems

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Flabaliki, this is really good stuff, much appreciated. You know, every time I see a new desk, EA or custom, I remember a particular download a few years ago where someone took the basic TS2 desk and inverted the seating position, which resulted in a desk that could be used in certain small rooms/corners without interference from the chair. As inventive and useful as it was, I never saw another such custom desk. Is this possible under TS3? If it is, I suppose this is a request! Thanks again for this and your other creations and tutorial videos.

The only way this could be better is if you made the worktop and the little ledge separately colourable from each other and the body of the desk. I hope you take it into consideration, I'll keep checking back and kill you if you don't xD

I don't know about end tables but I know you can use the little 1 square dining tables as a desk. maybe someone could modify one of those into a shape of a desk?

nice desk by the way Flabaliki

I love this desk, it looks great, thanks!
One thing I noticed was when you said "Who doesn't love Swedish flat packed furniture, certainly not me, I love the stuff!" I am confused. You ask who doesn't love it, then you answer it by saying you "certainly" don't, but then you say you do love it! Which is it? Please make up your mind and get back to me asap, thanks. This is driving me crazy
