This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Notice for those with the Pets EP - Updated version may still be causing problems. Currently awaiting update to the rigfix (or until I have the time to look into it further). Sorry to leave you all hanging; this will likely remain as-is (no time to create).

*Updates*

(2/1/10) - Fixed a very minor thumbnail issue.
(2/11/10) - Reduced shininess to half and compressed textures to result in a much smaller file size.
(2/14/10) - Copied description to all languages.

Hi, everyone! I've been missing all of the items we had in TS2 and expansions ever since I installed TS3, so I thought it would be fun to try to convert some over to the new game. My first project is an office chair that came with Teen Style Stuff, a pack which I used quite frequently to decorate kid's and teen's rooms. It has a nice clean, contemporary design and is a much-needed addition to the current supply of desk chairs.

I kept everything the same -- name, price, catalog description. I even changed the default colors to match those of the original (although the object is still fully CASt-able, of course). You can find it in-game under comfort/misc. comfort and study/chairs for a price of $195.

Over time, I plan to convert more objects, so feel free to list your favorites from TS2 in the comments section and they just may show up. I don't take strict requests anymore, but I am open for suggestions.

Okay, well, thanks for reading. I hope you all enjoy, and stay tuned for more projects to come.

Until next time!

~Rachael

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

I love this! I was just thinking, hey, I miss all this stuff!

What I really miss the most is the cars, and a lot of the hairstyles, but for objects, I would say that I miss the Oaktowne floral sofas, the four-poster bed that came with basegame, the basegame formal dining set from and of course the rest of the TSS pack! I overused that so much!

This was my favorite desk chair from S2, thanks for sharing.

As long as you're taking suggestions . . . the thing I miss the most from S2 is the range hood. I think it came in the K&B EP. I always used that above the stove once we had it.

Yes thank you for this chair, I loved it in TS2! I liked pretty much everything in TSS. The stereo from Glamour Life Stuff and the grill from Celebration Stuff were pretty cool too. If you branch out into clothing then I highly suggest converting the kids pajamas from Family Fun Stuff, I loved using those!

Great job on the chair! I did a double take.

I would love to see the Ikea stuff pack objects converted, especially the Hemnes bedroom set, it's my all time favorite.
