This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Sims that know style wear Rock Revival... Shorts. Heh, heh.

Ages: Teen, Young Adult, Adult
Gender: Male
Clothing Category: Everyday

Update 7-24-11: The shorts have gone through a complete overhaul. I wanted to make the seams and pocket design recolorable but I also decided that these shorts would be better suited having a belt included so I gave them a complete makeover.

There is only one pair of shorts in the package now as there is no longer a need to provide color variety. I hope the changes are to your liking.
I have created a teen version of the Rock Revival shorts as it has come to my attention while working on the adult version that I forgot to do so some time back. My sincerest apologies on the gross delay but please enjoy the improvements I made to the shorts.

Four Recolorable Areas
Channel 1: Shorts
Channel 2: Belt
Channel 3: Seams
Channel 4: Belt buckle, back label, and metal buttons.

This package file contains five colors of the Rock Revival design but they have been combined so that they will use only one clothing row in your game instead of five separate ones.
Design seams are not recolorable.

Going to keep the hairstyle and sneaker information although the models are no longer shown for those who are interested.
Marco's Hair (khaki design-green shorts):
Ian's Hair (blue design-black shorts):
Jeremy's Hair (original design-blue shorts):

Additional Credits:
Special thanks to arjannl for the Nike sneakers and Oepu, Wagaugusto, and Hysterical Paroxysm for their hair creations/conversions.

Age: Young Adult Adult
Gender: Male
Clothing Type: Everyday
Clothing Style: Modern
Outfit Type: Bottom

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Very cool shorts, I can use them on several guys... I don't like how many of the game shorts go so high over the knee. Are those sandals from an expansion or custom content? They are unfamiliar but cool as well.

I'm really sorry that I'm just now seeing this post and responding to it, ANGeske. Yes, the sandals are from the game. They are found within Electronic Arts' Outdoor Living Stuff Pack. Thank you for your post. )
