Welcome to my second uploaded UI mod. This mod was actually the first mod I ever made as part of the MTS community, but due to a more exciting finding of mine (custom skintones), this got lost in the chaos. I originally made this mod to help Daluved1 fix an issue with the UI that was preventing her from fully realizing her custom beauty marks.

What This Mod Does:
It actually does very little the game couldn't already do, I just made it so you can see it doing it.

This changes the visible layout of the Topical Details section of CAS. Under normal circumstances, the game will only show up to seven freckles, five beauty marks, and five wrinkles at one time without overloading the UI and having some become visibly inaccessible. This mod fixes that.
As one can see in the image, I have changed the limit of visible picks to 21 at a time; further, I made it so that the scroll bar is now functional if you add more than the UI can show at one time.

Because it was not necessary to resize the overall UI (and therefore wouldn't cause any part of the UI to become inaccessible on various screen resolutions) there is only one version of this mod.

For demonstration purposes, my screenshot includes more freckles and beauty marks than available. As far as I know, Daluved's 8 new beauty marks and the base game ones are the only available content that would utilize the new UI. However, CTU is capable of making new freckles, beauty marks and wrinkles.

Tutorial for Making New Freckles/Moles
Daluved1 has a video tutorial outlining how to make new freckles, moles or wrinkles over at The Sims Supply. If you are attempting to make new freckles/moles and run into issues, please do not ask for help here; instead please search the Modding Discussion->CAS Parts forum for related issues, or create a new post if you don't find a similar thread.

Installation Instructions:
The download is a 7z archive containing a standard package file. Extract it and place it in your mods/packages folder.

If by chance you have the old UI layout mod linked from Daluved's download, remove the old one (this new one is far superior).

Technical Information:
This is a default replacement layout file of the CASMoles.layo (0xDB98CEF8DAE07B3C) found in the UI.package file.
  • It is not a core mod

Compatibility:
This mod does not conflict with any other known mod.

Version information:
This mod is known to work with the following game versions:
Base1.14/WA2.9/HELS3.5/AMB4.2
Base1.12/WA2.4/HELS3.3/AMB4.0

This mod is thought to work with previous game game versions through Base1.7; no support will be given, use at you own risk with older versions.

Additional Info:
Mod originally proposed by Daluved in this thread.

Awesome Only thing I could possibly suggest would be to add a piercing section for layerable piercings

I'm thinking aloud ... Could that solution be used for making custom eyes that will be genetically inherited? They won't be recolorable but it could offer more eyes types.

If you could, please provide more detailed information. What exactly is the problem? Are you able to extract the file? Did you place the extracted package file in your mod/packages folder?

Making layerable piercings has been on my to-do list for awhile now. However, it can't be done in a system like freckles; the freckles/moles/weathering system uses alpha masking which is a way of colorlessly desaturating/darkening an area of the skintone. The lack of color wouldn't make for good piercings, but would be really good for scars.

I've been planning on looking at something like that, but the current eye system doesn't function in a way that would allow easily changed defaults (as far as I know now, but I said the same thing about skin tones too).

Thank you so much for finally posting this as a download and not just hanging in that old thread. This makes it so much easier for me to give you credit for enabling the CAS moles. Before, I just copied the link for the direct download and said you made it. Now, I can actually post a link to this life-saver.

Again, thank you for both creating and making my job of giving credit where it's due a bit easier. :D

this fixes some problems with not being able to apply more items at once in CAS. Now we only need a fix to make it possible for more custom accessories spot options.

Hello!
First, many thanks for this another great mod!! I just have a little problem, it's been 6 or 8 times that I try to download it, but I always have the same problem: WinRAR cannot extract it because nothing is found in the file. A sentence tells me that the format is corrupted or empty. Why do I have this while it seems to work for everyone?

The problem you're getting is because WinRAR isn't able to open the .7z archive format. You need to download an extractor that works with the file type. A google search would probably provide you with many options, but my favorite is 7Zip (it is also the one recommended by Delphy here in the announcement post about the new file type. It's freeware (not even a donate/nag screen like WinRAR), very easy to install and use; it can also handle .zip and .rar files, so you could even ditch WinRAR if you like 7zip enough.

I decided to use the .7z archive format instead of the .zip this time around because I believe the issue that required some people to download multiple times for my other UI mod may be caused by the creating/extracting process. With the .7z format there is much less chance for errors, and it makes much smaller files which are friendlier for the site and faster to download.

any chance of being able to use this to add body hair to Sims, I hate how it disappears when they are showering and stuff, just to make it more permanent.

How do you get 7zip to work? There's nothing in the help it came with. Also is it possible to post this in a regular zip?
