Cattails Cottage - 1 Sun Song Avenue - Beachfront Beauty

The beachfront in Sunset Valley is stunning, but why oh why are the homes on Sun Song so 'blah'? Anyway I decided to change that, one lot at a time! Cattails Cottage replaces the exisiting 1 Sun Song Avenue with a charming family home.

The house sleeps 6 sims and whilst fairly compact, it's a simple 20x30 lot, you get a lot of house for the money. Decorated in a style I like to call 'homely' with painted furniture, muted shades of powder blue, soft pink, buttermilk yellow and pastel green - except in this case for the Master Bedroom which is a riot of floral in the 'been reading too many Martha Stewart books' style But I am sure you will put your own touches to it!

On the ground floor you wil find a sitting room, a galley kitchen, breakfast bar, separate dining/study area and a double bedroom with a small ensuite.

Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, (a double and a kids room with bunkbeds) both with full bathrooms and there is even enough room on the landing to play chess and paint.

Outside there is a tiny veggie patch and a see-saw for the kids. There is also a bbq area with comfy seating. In the attached garage is parking for one car, laundry facilities and access to a spacious basement, containing an Inventor's Bench, Sculpting Station and a Chemistry Bench, via a spiral staircase.

Playtested? - Yes!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Thank you very much for this wonderful house. It's really phantastic in it's creamy colours! I hate those EA-houses - furnished with clumpsy stuff and in undefinite colours beween yellow, brown and a dirty green. From outside they're looking quite nice - but beware you see the interiors! Please continue with your work!

Hi,
Absolutely love this house. It's beautiful and just the right size to be very playable.
I had one problem that I'd thought I'd tell you about. The space for the car inside the garage is so close to the spiral staircase that the Sim cannot get in his car. My Sim kept going down to the basement to get in his car. When I removed the car and car space all was fine.
Thanks again! I think I will download your other homes too!
BTW- Mortimer, Bella and Cassandra are living in your house.

Oh I hop Bella, Mortimer and Cassandra like it! Mmm sorry about the car thing I wonder how that works because my test sims were fine with it. It's a puzzle - I hope the Goths are very happy!

The Goths are doing well. Cass had a slumber party and Bella is pregnant (hopefully with a boy)! Mortimer just went through a mid-life crisis.
I put a bike in the garage instead for Cassandra.
Thanks again!!
