Oh I've wanted these for ages... new deciduous hood deco trees that change with the seasons.

I am bringing you two tall poplar trees, the kind commonly seen along country roads in my country. They correctly change with the seasons, even having some litter in the autumn.

The mesh size is a whopping 32 faces and 82 vertices, so they won't be a strain on the computer even in large numbers. The textures are also small. I would't put them right next to Sim houses, but they look OK from a bit farther.

They are found in the Landmarks section of the 'hood deco catalogue to prevent them from fading in lot view. They also have their own registered GUID, and are placeable anywhere.

Nightlife if not actually needed for this - the idea is that you need any one EP to use custom neighbourhood decoration objects. Here, the changing function requires Seasons, but the trees are useable with any one EP - they just show the summer state.

Enjoy, and do clone! We need more of these type of plants.

Nice! If it requires only any EP I mark my stuff basegame, or else it's filtered out for those who don't have NL but other EPs. But the changing might require Seasons? Has it been tested in a game without Seasons?

Love these! I'm sure others have wished for poplars too. Yay for low poly + tiny texture.

I have just tested it in BG+MG. The trees are OK, they just show the summer state. Thank you, I have updated the main post accordingly.

An odd thing I had fun with: If put right next to a lot the "fallen leaves" show up IN the lot! They don't LOOK like leaves there, they look like swamp goo..
