This download is a custom career. This means that you will need the NRaas Careers mod installed in order to use the download in your game.
To Delete.
Chance cards: None

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Sims 3
Warning! There are no files attached to this upload. If this is a "group project" or multi-part upload please check the comments for more files.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Very clever! Thanks. BTW, I never really associated charisma with any of my accountants, but still, a very nice touch.

Well I researched it quite a bit and it said they need a wide circle of contacts, so charisma seemed the best option

Thanks everyone :D

I'm an accountant myself and I would have logic rather than charisma as the main requirement. I would leave charisma only for the Financial Director!

Good job though, I'll give it a try

Thanks for this! In my game, it's throwing a script error in Careers mod for accountant. System.Xml.XmlException: 'Tennis' is expected Line 109, position 6.

I'm using your banking mod from your blog site and it's working fine.

Thanks again!

Thank you! There was one line that hadn't been changed and I suspect that was what was throwing up your error. I'm updating the file and if you re-download, hopefully that should stop Was the career working and throwing up the error, or was it not working at all?

Thanks for the quick reply. I will download again and give it another go. It didn't show up so it could be selected. I just noticed the msg popup and say there was an error.

I will post back and let you know how it goes.

I think it was a fabulous idea Missy, but I cant seem to get it to work for me. I have Twallan's career mode, and other custom careers. I send the sim to the business place and then instead of accepting the career, it just disappears.

Think I may have found the error. For some reason, the first job level is not in the file any more :S
Anyway, I'm updating and testing it now. If it works, I'll update on here Sorry for the inconvenience!

I crunched the numbers (oh the irony) on the level 9 and level 10 promotions, and currently it is not in your best interest to be promoted to the top level. At level 9 you earn §11375 weekly, while at level 10 you earn §5400 weekly. If you value your free time it might be worth the pay cut as your hourly rate is much higher, but if your spending is proportional to the level 9 income bracket you'll suffer at the level 10 income bracket.

The problem is that level 10 takes a huge cut both on number of daily hours as well as number of days worked, down from 35 hours per week to just 12 hours per week, but with a raise of "only" about 40% -- which works out to the equivalent of approximately 17 hours per week at the level 9 rank.

There are lots of ways to fix it by experimenting with the number of daily hours and the number of weekly work days. However, one other thing to point out is that your highest-ranking positions in accounting are currently the best paid in the game compared to any other profession (the next highest is Medical at §9600 weekly at level 10). Thus, I would say the accountant career is broken as of level 8 or so and needs to take a less exponentiating curve at around that point.

What's funny about this is that I hate math. ;-)

When/if you work in Opportunities, a "Cook Books" tone that offers you the possibility of a raise at the expense of a possible police incident would be interesting... important thing would be to gate in "Evil" or some other trait before you're allowed to choose that tone, to prevent most accountants from being crooks. Only the ones in the company I work for seem to be crooks, after all. ;-)
