Update! As of March 4, 2013 The Career has now Norwegian Translation. Thanks MiniMarg!

You will need Twallans Custom Career Mod found here: https://www.nraas.net/community/Careers - You need to download the base-mod to make this career work.

Changed rabbithole to Theatre so everyone can play the career contrary to the movie set.

Patch Compatibility is v1.36. Works with Patch 1.38-1.67 I am not sure if it works for lower patch.
Language is only in English for now.

The Modelling Career was requested by Denise Williams. The level 1 of the career (Model Wannabe) has negative salary since this is the entry level of the modelling career you need to make sure you invest on yourself and look presentable to be discovered by an agent to officially become a model.

The Rabbithole is at the Theatre

Here's the joining text:

Have you always wanted to strut your stuff on the runway? Do you think you look good in photos? Or even in person? Do you think that you have what it takes to become a top model? Well, why don't you join modelling?

The Modelling Career has 5 Custom Opportunity namely:
1. The Model's Clock
2. Just Her Luck
3. Captivating Allure
4. The Golden Heart
5. Scout The Talent

I will also be adding 5 custom events so watch out for it.

The Career has 2 custom tones that will be helpful you advance in your career:

1. Go See- Your agent is sending you to different designers and potential clients for a Go See. Go Sees can help you book more modelling gigs and at the same time raises your confidence and charisma which are vital for an up-and-coming model like you.
2. Stay Fit- It is very important for a model like you to be fit. Since modelling is a very competitive career, it is imperative to stay in shape. Staying fit means eating healthy balanced diet and exercising. It also raises your Athletic skill.

Now, let's proceed to the Job Title, Job Description, Salary, Day and Time of Work.

1. Model Wannabe- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri/ -$10/hour/ 9am-3pm
You have always loved reading fashion magazines, watching fashion shows on television and copying poses of the supermodels you see in the media. You take care of yourself to make sure you stay on top of your game and always look picture perfect in case a model scout discovers you in a crowded room and change your life!

2. Body Part Model- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri/ $20/hour/ 8am-1pm
Finally! A model scout has approached you and offered to help you become a model... A body part model that is. You're so excited for the opportunity that was given to you even though only parts of your body will be shown. Everyone has to start somewhere. A body part model has very strict requirements. You have to make sure you have the perfect nails on your hands or perfect toenails on your feet, no wrinkles and blemishes or scars on your skin and no veins on your legs. Better start buying those hand lotions!

3. Character Model- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri/ $25/hour/ 8am-1pm
Male- After long hours of showing your hands, legs and neck, you have been booked to do character modelling. Being a Character Model means you model "real people". No more strict requirements for you! You only have to look like the person that the client is looking for. Thanks to your handsome yet versatile looks, you get a lot of projects. You now model characters with "everyday" look, such as a mechanic, grocery clerk, plumber, waiter, engineer, and so on. Just being normal is awesome!... For now at least.
Female- After long hours of showing your hands, legs and neck, you have been booked to do character modelling. Being a Character Model means you model "real people". No more strict requirements for you! You only have to look like the person that the client is looking for. Thanks to your beautiful yet versatile looks, you get a lot of projects. You now model characters with "everyday" look, such as a nurse, grocery clerk, schoolteacher, librarian, stewardess, and so on. Just being normal is awesome!... For now at least.

4. Print Model- Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri/ $30/hour/ 9am-2pm
Congratulations! You are now a Print Model. This is a great time to build up your model portfolio which is important in building up your modelling career. All of that practicing posing in front of the mirror will pay off. You now get paid for posing for pictures and looking good. You have to find the best angle of your face; you shouldn't blink when the camera flashes and you should know the body position that will make your body look taller and longer while maintaining grace. You feel the emotion so you can project what the clients are looking for.

5. Commercial Model- Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat/ $50/hour/ 9am-3pm
You are now halfway to the top of your modelling career! You are now seen on television using products ranging from sports wear, food, latest gadgets, clothes and many more! You also appear in print ads, both fashion and non-fashion oriented products. People have noticed how good you are in conveying an image of a product. You now cater to different products and convince viewers to buy the products that you are endorsing. Get ready to use your acting chops!

6. Glamour Model- Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat/ $100/hour/ 10am-3pm
Male-Your amazing physique has attracted clients and made you a Glamour Model. A Glamour Model poses for photos with sexier themes. This includes swimwear and underwear. You show a lot of skin. You get booked to different high-class sexy magazines, promotional tradeshows and car show events. Your big muscles and your hard abs are your best assets so you better emphasize them when doing photo shoots. Your physique, appeal and amazing body have made you a hot commodity! Better to keep in shape and tone that body!

The readers of the publication make up a target audience for your photographs. Being an Editorial Model has lower pay than High Fashion, Runway and other types of modelling, but don't worry because it opens doors and gives you a lot of exposure. You get to wear the next fashion trends and people will want to wear anything that you model. You are now gaining a few followers. Good job!

Size: 60.4 KB · Downloads: 130,074 · 3rd Oct 2012
60.4 KB 130,074 3rd Oct 2012
Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Just a quick question, this sounds like it was based on (slightly) my modeling career which is in Modding discussion. Is it at all related?

No, I don't think so. First of all, I did this all by MYSELF(3 days straight) and of course it was corrected by the moderator (grammar, etc) and rewritten to match the mod the sims guidelines. And if I use a creator's work for reference I ask them and give them credit and the link of their profile on my upload. I can give you the original pre-upload(unedited) version of the career and the links where I based the description if you'd like. So if you think otherwise you can contact the moderator so he can check. Cheers!

P.S. I don't need to base my careers on other people's creation since I already have 2 careers before this one(Socialite and Monarch Career thanks for the amazing success) to based it on.

P.P.S. I searched your modeling career and the only thing that comes close to our career is TITLE of the career which is "Body Part Model" which is the level 6 of your career. And mine is even at level 2 with EXTREMELY different descriptions. So I have no idea why did you even think I based my career on yours. Please read and COMPARE your work with mine first before asking that ridiculous question. Sorry but it makes me really mad.

Love it, but could you make an option to move to Stylist career?
Like in the Business Career, you can become a govenor or something.
So, when you have reached a certain level, you can reach an option to continue as a model or become a stylist?

Very nice career mod, too bad that its not universal (as in for use with gay Sims due to some of the descriptions you used). In any case, it is spelt "Modeling" not "Modelling" just thought I would give you a heads up on that one.

Sorry about that. Both can be used. Modeling is American english while modelling is more of British english.

Thanks! Yes I'm still testing that kind of career with turnover promotions. If I finish testing it I will update this career.
