A while back, I created a French Country house to offer to the creator working on the Paris world and for Foundation 1 from the MTS Foundation Challenge. Unfortunately, I did not get it finished in time for the Foundation Challenge. See the fantastic houses submitted here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...ation+challenge!

Built on a 30x30 lot, this two-storey house has two bedrooms, three bathrooms - one with laundry - a library/den with chess set and a lovely backyard with a large garden, orchard, and vineyard. The house comes equipped with toddler necessities and one bedroom upstairs has a crib. Outdoors features a BBQ, seating area, fountain, and play area. A separate building houses a nectary so that sims can improve their nectar making skills. Nectar racks are stocked with a variety of nectars.

No CC. 30x30 lot. Furnished: §106,367; unfurnished §60,702.

When you think of Provence and the French countryside, you're sure to see lavender fields and bright sunshine. While there are many elements that contribute to the French Country style of decorating, the resulting look is always rustic, old-world, and welcoming. Colors used to decorate in the French Country style come from the full spectrum of the color wheel. Sunny yellow and soft gold, firey red and burnt rust, bright grass green and dark hunter green, cobalt blue and soft ocean tones. Bright black and dull grays punctuate the bright colors and define accessory pieces. Rusted metal furniture, lighting fixtures, and furniture give warm color and wonderful lines.

An important element in pieces used in French Country style decorating is the use of natural materials. Rough stained or painted plaster walls, hefty beamed ceilings and walls, delicate carved wood details, and chair seats woven of rush give texture and simplicity to the look.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

This is incredibly beautiful! I've actually been working on a Sim I recently decided would take up nectar making, but I'm kind of lazy about building houses that are fit for plopping down a random nectar presser and still look nice. Now I don't have to worry though! Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for!
