Arcane Institute and Mages Guild (Elixir Consignment Store) - Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding

Community Lot Made by HiG33k for
Donation to The Merrye Makers

Greetings, good gentles/ladies. We are The Merrye Makers - a group of twelve creators spanning all disciplines (clothing, lots, objects, etc.) offering for thy downloading pleasure a collection of medieval things most beauteous from Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding -- otherwise known as "Simdom Pudding".

Alchemy in Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding was a mixture of science, philosophy and mysticism. Inventive practitioners approached their craft with a holistic attitude; believing that purity of mind, body and spirit was necessary to pursue the alchemical quest successfully. At the heart of alchemy was the idea that all matter was composed of four elements: earth, air, fire and water. With the right combination of elements, it was theorized, any substance in the world might be formed including precious metals or elixirs to cure disease and prolong life. Elder Simdom Pudding alchemists hoped to defeat the Grim Reaper while others strove to discover their relationship to the cosmos for the betterment of simkind. Alchemists believed it was possible to transmute one substance into another. Those in Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding whose lifetime wish was to live in the lap of luxury sought to turn lead into simoleons. Alchemy practitioners preserved their secrets with an obfuscating system of symbols and mysterious names for the materials they studied.

Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Perhabs my sims3 game is buggy - at least I wouldn't be surprised at that, lol. But everytime my sims try to buy there something, they - and the selling person - gets reset.
I do have registerOverhaul and DCWPotionConsignmentregister.
Ah I forgot.... The world I play in is Praaven. And I noticed too, that the build-in consignmentshop of that world is somehow... well I have yet to find the register functioning, if I mouse over it - no 'buy' and the browsefunction is greyed out. Doesn't mattter what time of day. Even if a seller is near it, it doesn't seem as if that seller actually does anything. Weird...
I am really happy about that building it is incredible beautiful! just sad, that it doesn't work. And a question too - I know the aboretum as a sort of smal building - like a tiny gardenhouse. So when I saw the beautiful gardenlike place up there I wondered, if that whole room is the aboretum, because the 'building' aboretum wasn't there - there is no function as a aboretum like this 'looking for fairies' and this kind of things. Do I still have to set up that building aboretum somewhere on the map, if I want this fairyplace?
Thank you for your time - and for your great work

Thanks for your message! I'm sorry that you're having problems with the building. I've not heard/seen of anyone else having problems so I think it might be your mods. I've not tried the register in Praaven but, again, I wonder if your mods are interfering. You might try deleting the register and replacing it to see if that helps. Or, removing the mods temporarily. Unfortunately, the arboretum like area in this building is a garden. You must use the arboretum rabbit hole building for the "looking for fairies" type actions.
