This download is a custom pose or animation. This means that you will need the Pose Player or Animation Player mod by cmomoney installed in order to use the download in your game.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
*Compatible with the "Pose List" feature of the newest Pose Player!*

A speed set--this took me about 22 hours from start to finish. I originally meant to make these for a friend who kept finding family-centric pose sets that she liked, only to find that they were for a completely different game. But in my experience, children climb their caretakers like trees. Especially if their caretakers are tall. So rather than making a cute set, I ended up making this, because every time I babysit, I somehow become a personal jungle gym. Sorry, heaven.

Pose tags are as follows:

A shoulder ride gone just slightly wrong.

"I wanna go with mommy!"
"Mommy's trying to get away from you, kiddo."

"Daddy, can you pick me up?"
"Sure ..."

"This is only funny until I fall on you."

AKA "the hurler."

"Thank you for blowing up my pool, Daddy!"
"No problem."
"Can you blow up my bouncehouse next?"
"Haha. Hell no."

"You just had to put that Chapstick before you did this, didn't you ..."

"Please stay asleep. Please stay asleep."

You will have to use "moveobjects on" to place the sims in position. Once you cancel the poses, the adult and child sims will lump together and look like a mutant tumor. This is okay! Direct them to walk away from each other and all will be well.

I have not tried the set with teenagers or adult female sims, so I don't know how well the child poses will match up, if there will be excessive clipping/floating, etc. And I'm not able to do a similar set for toddlers. Blender and I are still not getting along very well. :embarrassed:

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

This is gorgeous! I look at poses like this and constantly wonder why, with all the EPs and Stuff Packs Maxis makes, they never think to incorporate things like THIS in the game as standard (at least in Generations!) So for this, and the other great poses you've given us, thank you!

I never really use pose packs, since I'm not really someone who takes many pictures in the game, nor do I make stories or anything similar, but I always find myself checking out the poses you make, since you blow me away with them. You are a genius at getting the motion and actions of people in these, especially in their facial expressions -- I don't think I've seen other poses whose expressions are as well-captured as in yours. If I ever do start using poses, I certainly will know where to look!

And more on this exact topic, these are absolutely adorable!

This is, by far, the greatest set of poses ever made. You can actually see the love between these two. I don't use poses, but I just had to let you know that these are absolutely beautiful.

These are wonderful! I'm always looking for new family poses.

Question: how did you get your kiddie pool to look filled? I found one at TSR but when I use it in game it's empty.

This pose set is amazing? Can you upload the sims too?, they are really cute.

And... Where did you find the kiddy pool? is functional or just decor?

Thank you so much! I have been WAITING for a father/child pose pack for a set of Sims I have. Everything else seemed to be for babies or toddlers. This is perfect. And they are done really well! I am definitely going to keep my eye on you.

Thank you, everyone, for the very kind comments. I had a tough day at work, so coming home to this was a really pleasant surprise.

For everyone who's asked about the kiddie pool, it is the one available at TSR. The pool is actually a bathtub, though. If you want it to appear the way I have it in the photos, have another sim fill it up first, then use "moveobjects on" to set it somewhere else, and use OMSPs to make the toys float in the water. Otherwise, give your children the "never nude" trait so they'll get into the 'pool' wearing their swimsuit.

The poses are amazing, I laughed at the child grabbing the father's leg. He looks like "f**** off". Downloaded and appreciated!

I don't use pose sets but I had to comment on your line from the Bill Cosby stand-up, it made me laugh. "Dad is us the chocolate cake..." AWESOME. :D

Hilarious! I don't take pictures much and most of my sims don't have kids, but this set is a 'must have'. Thank you! :D

Thanks for creating this set.
These poses are great...
I'm a huge fan of all of your pose sets, they're always perfect for my sim stories, and these will go great with any of my legacy based stories too.

Thanks so much for creating this set.
