Ten "New Birth" Cards For Baby Boys For Use With MogHughson's Postal System

This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Here are ten greetings cards for use with MogHughson's Postal System. If you download these cards along with MogHughson's Postal System, then your sims will be able to send these cards to their friends, relatives and acquaintances in the neighbourhood. Sims who receive these cards will receive a small positive boost to their friendship level with the sender.

All ten of these cards are designed for baby boys. All of the images are free pictures from Pixabay, some of which I have edited. They all have the same basic text - "A New Baby! Congratulations on the birth of your son!" and the envelopes are all in various shades of blue. Yup, I've gone all out on the stereotyped use of colour here.....!

All of the package files are numbered according to the above pictures, so you can delete any of the cards that you don't want in your game.

These are the first of six sets of "New Birth" cards that I plan on making and uploading to Mod The Sims. These ones were specifically chosen to go with this month's theme - All About Men. The six greetings cards sets will be as follows.

New Birth Set #1 - Baby Boy [i.e. this set]
New Birth Set #2 - Baby Girl
New Birth Set #3 - Gender Neutral
New Birth Set #4 - Twins
New Birth Set #5 - Triplets & Quads
New Birth Set #6 - SURPRISE! (You'll have to wait and see for this set!)

Without MogHughson's Postal System these greetings cards are useless! Make sure you head over to her thread and check it out. It includes information on how the postal system works, as well as instructions on how to make your own cards, if you fancy giving that a go! :-)

I hope that you all enjoy using these greetings cards, and the upcoming sets, in your games.

Additional Credits:
Many thanks to MogHughson for not just creating and sharing her Postal System but for providing templates and detailed instructions to allow people to create their own greetings cards! :-)

Thank you to Kate from Parsimonious - the cards are displayed on her "Winterwood Shelf".

Thanks as always to the makers of SimPE.

And thank you to the Mod The Sims staff for making this such a great place to share custom content. I'm still loving the monthly themes! :-D

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Very nice Also looking forward to the coming sets. I've been meaning to make new postcards myself as I'm not that crazy about the ones available, and now maybe I don't need to Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the nice comments! I'm glad that you all like them! :-) I'm pretty much just planning to make all of the cards that I want to see in my game, so if I don't get bored/run out of time/get completely fed up with doing basically the same thing over and over and over and over there are several more sets that I am thinking about making when I've finished the five "New Birth" sets.

I use Wedding, Valentine's Day, Birthday, Christmas, Friendship, Engagement and Sympathy (and possible also Congratulations, to send to pregnant sims), so they are the sets that I will consider making when I've finished these current ones. One of my priorities is cards for same-sex weddings, because I have quite a few of those in my game and I don't have many suitable cards. I like cards with simple messages - I'm not a fan of humorous verses and the like, though I do use that kind of card in my game at the moment. All of the new birth cards will have simple messages - basic congratulations on their son/daughter/twins/triplets/quadruplets/new arrival(s).

Thanks PenelopeT :-) I just uploaded the Baby Girls set - it's available here. I *hope* to have the Gender Neutral set up tomorrow...... Oh, and I've changed it from five sets to six sets - it'll still be the same cards, but I've split the Multiples cards into two sets - "Twins" and "Triplets & Quads". That'll be more manageable for me when I come to upload them, and also I am aware that the Triplets & Quads cards will be of no interest to anyone who doesn't use the Triplets & Quads mod! So I figured that I'd keep them separate :-)

Thank you so much! I really hope you continue the collection for twins, triplets and quads!
