Baggy Pants (that work with boots)

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
These pants are converted from the french farmer outfit from world adventures into a pair of pants that can be used with any shirt. They are enabled for all categories, and are not valid for random. Available for male and female sims, child through elder. They work for all morphs. They look pretty good as pirate or medieval style pants.

They also work very well with boots; most boots can be used without too much clipping.

They have one more recoloring channel than the pants from the original outfit.

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Oh, these look great for TOS-era Starfleet uniforms. From the medieval era to the future. :-) Thanks for making these!

I was always thinking about how none of the shorter pants fit properly in these boots(like, the capris would leave a gap between the pant ending and boots). For me it was kind of important since I often like making sims wear historical or fantasy-style clothes. It's about time there were some pants like this. :o
Thanks a lot!

PS: Any chance that these can also be made to work with teens?

I'm glad you find them useful!
Converting these for teens is definitely doable. In fact, I just went ahead and made them work for child through elder. The original download folder should now contain the files for all the additional ages.

If you take requests, is there any chance you could adapt these to women? I think it's crazy for women to wear mini skirts on landing parties, so my female Starfleet officers will have a uniform with pants ... but only riding pants fit into boots.

Actually I already did; the download has been updated to include versions for male and female sims, child through elder.

Ooooh, cool! Thank you so much!

I know essentially nothing about making clothing, so sticking a Starfleet symbol on a shirt was as far as I could go. ;-)

I made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims%201%20Mods%20by%20Corylea.html

I love these kinds of pants by the way

Default You saved me
I have spent the last few days trying to Frankenmesh the army mesh into pants. You saved me. Thank you so much!
