I've never used Dashboard, but I just looked up that issue and it seems that it may be flagging it like that because it's a clothing piece enabled for multiple ages, which usually can cause seam issues around the ankles for shoes. I don't know why it's mentioning child on there, since they're not enabled for children, but they are enabled for teen through elder.

I don't think they should cause any issues since I opted to "cap off" the ankle of the boots instead of blending it onto the sim's leg. The model seemed to fit just fine on the teen, adult/young adult, and elder models without needing to be modified, so I enabled it for all of them instead of making separate packages for each.

If you do notice any issues, just let me know.

Thank you! My sims will be getting so much use out of these. I loved the taller riding boots EA made, but they worked with so few bottoms, now I can use them with everything! :D

THANK YOU a million times over for this. I love the boots, but I never used them because the pants that look decent never worked with them!! You've saved me angst, my friend :D

Hey, I had problems with my game suddenly crashing after I created a household. Since my game kept crashing as soon as I tried to play that household, I tried to "weed" out the problem. Once I removed/deleted two females (young adult + adult), both of whom were wearing your shoes, I didn't have any problems anymore. While I can't be 100% certain, it seems as if your shoes were the cause of my game crashing. Just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for letting me know. It sounds like it could be an issue with the levels of detail; a similar problem was occurring a while back with an accessory I made. I'll check that out and try to fix the issue soon; if it really is the levels of detail causing the crashing it'll be relatively easy for me to fix.

Thanks! Quick question: these are stand-alone, correct? I usually prefer having both the original and mesh fixes for variety.

As another user reported, these cause my game to crash. It took me a long time to track down the problem, but after extensive testing, it's definitely the boots. When I removed them from my game, everything was fine. The most blatant case was that I put them on a sim, I saved the game with that sim on the screen, and I could load the save again, but if I tried to zoom out or go into town edit mode, I'd get crashes. I also had crashes in another save that were apparently random, but I did a full makeover on the entire town and I think (now) that it was crashing when I went anywhere near anyone who was wearing the boots. It seems to be a graphic issue. I use very high detail because I have a gaming computer with a high end graphic card, if that's any help to you. In the meantime, I'll just have to keep the boots out of the game, which is a shame. I really like them.

Unfortunately it also crashes my game. I meticulously weeded through everything for hours and found that it was the boots causing the crash. I have my graphic settings at the highest and a good gaming machine.

Just another report that these crash my game. Created a female YA with these shoes, I try to move in said female and game crashes to desktop instantly. Have a higher-end computer, play on high/very high graphics settings. Specifically, the error log throws an ACCESS_VIOLATION for TS3W.exe. (trying to access way too much memory.)
I've narrowed it down to these boots, I can move other Sims in fine, from tutorial start OR edit town.

Do not download! The crashing issue is still here 4 years later. I wasted a lot of time today, trying to work out why my always dependable Aurora Skies save is suddenly crashing. It didn't initially penetrate that these boots were causing the problem because I actually had these boots in my game for some time and they work fine in CAS. But I couldn't have tried them before in game before today, thankfully either they are not set to random or no Sim randomized with them as I'd never have worked out the issue.

I've made a fix for the female boots crashing issue now; just re-download the file and replace the old crashing one and it should work fine!
Turns out the issue was that both medium and low levels of detail models were totally corrupt, which is why the issue happened when zooming out or editing town.
