This house is obviously modern, and is special because there’s a room that floats entirely off the ground. And it still functions perfectly fine! There’s also a basement you can enter from the outside, which is cool. Finally, the roofs are patterned, which I think adds a nice touch.
The house has 5 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, a garage as well as all the other stuff: kitchen, living room, etc. There’s no wasted space in this house, because it’s rather small, if you haven’t noticed. The only spacious room really is the living room (the floating one,) which I think I made too big. Oh well. To get to this room (and all of the other stories on the house) the Ascension Staircase (by Targa) teleports sims instantaneuosly from one floor to another.
The house looks especially nice at night, which is why I added those spotlight things.
As with all of my other unoccupied houses, this comes complete with appliances, counters, plumbing, smoke detectors in every room, and security things in all rooms accessible from the outside. The total cost for the house is around $63,000, and it is located on a 3 by 3 lot.
Fixing and making changes, checking the screenshots out, and realizing I had made more mistakes was probably what took this house so long. First I made an incomplete roof and a tree inside the house, then I messed up with the pictures, and finally I found the V2 Ascension staircase, which matched the house better than the V1.
I used two wonderful custom objects on this lot:
1. The Ascension staircase (V2) by Targa : http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=97367
2. Transparent Tile by RGiles: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=34012
And also a third one I created myself. It’s called “Shadow Floor” and is completely black. Add that to the Shadow Wall also made by me (but not included in this download) and the Shadow Skin made by yours truly, and what you have is a pair of floating eyeballs moving around your house.
Enjoy!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
