no nightlife is not needed. I only have the original. The car is decoration. It doesn't run but you can have it for decoration. NO EXPANSION PACK IS EVER NEEDED. a lot of people get that confused

By the way, I think you shouldn't pay attention to that comment about your "horrible french"... I am french myself and I didn't have an heart attack when I saw your little mistake, it's just cute !

Oui il change tous. Je me rappelle la ville la nuit,Il était très beau.Je ne peux pas attendre pour retourner au temps de Noël.

(for those who do not speak French it means: Yes it changes all. I remember the city at night, it was very beautiful. I can not wait to return at Christmas time )
