I've come onto this page several times in the past to admire the roofline on your Datcha, and I just realized tonight that I never actually commented on it! This really is a very beautiful lot, and I find the roofline inspiring every time I look at it. It's a nice reminder of how many interesting and creative things we can build in the game.

For me word datcha was kind of a joke - because datcha is basicly piece of land where you can grow your own fruits and vegetables, and it may have or not have a house (which is usually some small "box", where you could rest after work in the garden)... but your lot looks like a palace! Don't get me wrong - i really like your creation, it's quite unique and looks great outside and inside!
Although i must say that in the old times, when Russian Empire was still "alive" some of the rich people had datchas with quite big houses.

v_ororo ,it doesn't try to be a real russian datcha. It was just inspired by the gorgeous datcha in the movie "Doctor Jivago" ( cf the famous Novelle by Boris Pasternak).
Besides its not an adaptation of this datcha, half hidden in snow and ice, the "Jivago Datcha" was just a starting point...
