This is a great idea. My teens could use some brains once in a while.

@MystikMoon:
Sorry for the tremendously late reply; an accident kept me from away from home for about 2 months. To your question of how teens can live alone:
- let the parents move out and leave the teen behind
- use my TeenStar PC to let the teen move out

I don't have "Seasons" yet. Whenever a new EP comes out, I usually wait a few days to see if the EP causes more trouble than it is worth, so please give me some days to get it and test all my hacks. Thanks

This is great. It's ridiculous that this wasn't in the game to start with. Thanks

Isn't that a girl's name?

I had an interesting thing happen - I just had an adult in the same family(same lot - it amounts to the same thing) as a teen get the learned homework memory while he was tending his plants(I had him selected & noticed the books going glowy over his head & what do you know, the memory was in his memory folder thingy). To my knowledge I haven't had learned homework memories turn up elsewhere. This has happened in at least one other lot in my neighbourhood.

I have the Awesome (tm) homework hacks and partial homework credit by cyjon. I also have: uni, nl, ofb, ffs, gls, pets & seasons.

HDCU is listing this as conflicting with twojeff's version of homework sometimes faster.

Just letting you know that Pescado's Hackdiff is reporting this as borked with Bon Voyage.

floopyboo, I have had the same thing happen in two households. In the first, an adult got the "learned to study" memory as a teen (who had already learned to study) finished his homework. In the other house, the toddler got the memory as her big sister (again, who already knew how to study) finished her homework. I don't have any other homework hacks or mods, and I only have Nightlife, Uni, and Pets.

I love the idea of this hack, I think it's brilliant. I thought this glitch was worth mentioning, but I haven't decided if it bothers me enough to delete it yet.

Yes, this is a problem with the want satisfaction and the memories which CtfG never could resolve. I'll check into it and try to fix it. CtfG intended this hack to aim at teens who live alone, but it also affects any other household, of course. Give me some hours

@floopyboo: Two hacks that modify the same object (in this case, the task "Do Homework") will always conflict. Please decide which one you want to keep, and delete/remove the other.

If two or more teens who have not yet learned to study live in one family and teach themselves how to do homework, the memories were set incorrectly. Also, when one of two ore more teens in one family asks to be taught, the memories were assigned to wrong sims. This is fixed. I added the option that teens can ask other teens to teach / to be taught.

Conflicts with other mods:
This hack modifies four BHAVs in group 0x7FF4DCC2:
- 0x00001016 Wants Satisfy - Study
- 0x0000101F Interaction - Ask to be Taught - TEST
- 0x00001021 Sub - Do Homework - Increment & Exit?
- 0x00001023 Interaction - Ask to Teach - TEST

This hack will conflict with every other hack that modifies one ore more of this resources.

Thank you so much!! I am running a neighborhood based on an RPG and to stick (somewhat) to the plot, I have a teen who lives alone. Poor kid is staying up all night trying to get homework done because he comes home miserable about his poor grades! (and -fun, and -social, etc.)

BTW: For those of you who were wondering how to get a teen to live alone, I used a third option. I created Kyril as an adult, moved him into the house, then used agesimscheat to turn him back to teen. I'm not sure that this is the best option, though... now he will be a teen for 29 days instead of 15. This is the first time I've done it, so we'll see, I guess.

That sounds like a good option, much quicker than creating a dummy parent to kill off which is what I was gonna do for my story.
