I have a question, (I love this, by the way), When we place a house on the dirt road, when you're playing that house, will you still see the road that you had before? Or will it be dirt too? Thanks.

This is good for countrysides. I wonder if Seasons will have this since it will have a countryside theme. Good job!

I must confess, I don't understand your question.
When you place a house, all roads outside the property will be country roads. But the road in front of the house still will be an asphalt road. But I made matching floors what look like the country roads, so you can replace the asphalt road with these.
I hope, this answers your question.

and I have a question, in our house, the road will be replaced? or it will have to be replaced by this code? "boolProp displayNeighborhoodRoads false"il is necessary to do what so that the road of our house is replaced?

thank you

No, the street in front of the house will look like always: Gray asphalt. And the cheat you mentioned above only removes the roads in the neighbourhood view where you can choose a house. They simply disappear.
The second download file (Maxis-Like-Grass + matching country road floors.rar) contains four floors and one ground cover. The floors look like the country roads I made. So you give in the “moveobjects on”-cheat and replace the original street floors with my country road floors.
The groundcover looks like the normal Maxis grass. You can spray it on your lot and the ground won’t look blurred anymore (as it unfortunately does without the ground cover).

Is there problems with this mod and later expansions? Like seasons? Because I just put it in my downloads-folder, and it didn't work for me. I have all the expansions.

Stev--

I came in here to get the link for the dusty roads for the desert terrain mod because I'm using it in my game now and wanted others to know about it, when I saw this one--the country roads for the dirt terrains. This is totally awesome, and I thank you VERY much for it. I haven't used it yet, but having used the other, I'm sure this one is just as good. :-)

Check out Neighborly Sims (my fansite), at:

http://www.flyingacres.com/Neighbor...hborlySims.html

I'm going to post up both links, and within a short while, my Autumn Dreams neighborhood will show a current picture using the dusty roads mod.

Thank you again. :-)

Stev--

Unfortunately, there does seem to be a problem with the country roads/dirt terrain override, if Seasons (and possibly Pets) is installed. I have them both installed.

I did find that the override works for making NEW neighborhoods. However, it does NOT work correctly when just changing the type of terrain in an existing neighborhood. The terrain changes (it doesn't become dirt, but becomes grass). However, the roads do NOT change--they remain asphalt. I'm talking about the neighborhood view...not the lot view.

When you create a NEW neighborhood and choose the dirt terrain option right from the beginning, the terrain is grass and the roads are country style.

Since I have three neighborhoods in my game that I wanted to be converted, this isn't doing what I had hoped it would do, so for now I'm taking the mod out of my Downloads folder. I'll keep a watch to see if you're able to do anything about this.

Keep up the great work. I'm sure you can fix this little problem. :-)

@lindawing

I am sorry, but the problem you discribed is a problem, I am not able to fix. It has nothing to do with my mod. I noticed it the first time, when I tried to change the shoping neighbourhood from open for business into a desert terrain using the terrain type cheat. The terrain changed into dessert, but a stripe of grass remained between the street and the sidewalk.
This means, that the terrain type cheat doesn't change the street texture. I can do nothing to change this.

I actually like the dirt neighborhood terrain- is there any chance you will be making a dirt roads for the dirt neighborhood any time soon? I'd like to use this but not if it turns my dirt neighborhood to grass.

I'm adding my vote for a mod that replaces the road textures- but leaves the ground texture- of the dirt hoods.

I don't want 2 grass terrains; I want dirt hoods available, just with your awesome roads!

Thank you! :D

Edit:

I just made a new neighbourhood with the dirt so I could have those nice roads but I don't see anything it looks like only the dirt has changed into grass but the road is still asphalt.
Maybe becouse I have seasons?

If the dirt has changed into grass, then the mod works. I have seasons, too, and the mod works fine for me. This mod doesn't change the asphalt road infront of the house automaitically. You always will have to replace this road with matching floors manually.

bye
