Welcome to the Wood Elves' forest!
Here you have the late continuation of my previous tree house project for wood elves, VanjaEke, which you can find here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=84928
This is VanimeldaEke - a more lush tree dwelling in a bigger lot (5x3) than tha last one. It's a secret elf dwelling in the forest, near an old ruin, hidden from enemies who can't see it from the ground. Your elves will climb the stems to get to the plateaus where they can eat, sleep and hang out in peace with nature. There is even a swimmable lake at the end of a little creek that your elves can enjoy. At night they will fall asleep under the stars at the top with the forest swaying beneath them...
To my knowledge it is furnished with things from only the original game and University EP, but it is made with all the existing EP:s and the Glamour Stuff Pack. I tried to keep the custom content to a minimum. It is tested for a day and a night and should work in game, even the invisible stairs.
As you can see in the pictures there is a bed, a dresser; a bookshelf and two sofas with a small table, a chessboard with two chairs and an easel; a dining table with chairs, a kitchen with a fridge, a firewarner, two counters, a sink and a stove; a desk with a phone and candles and a piano; and a bathroom with a hidden toilet and shower, a bath and a mirror. At the bottom of the tree there is a hidden burglar alarm, and of course lots of trees. I am not sure where the garbage can went, but there is a mailbox standing at the road. There is also an invisible diving board on the bridge across the stream and a pool ladder that makes your sims able to get out of the 'lake' I have created using terrain paint.
I have not gone beserk with decorating; I am sure that you probably will want to decorate this lot with your own furniture and change it according to needs, perhaps use some of the fantastic medieval/fantasy furniture that can be found here on MTS2, just search for "medieval" or "fantasy" :D

- Invisible recolor for the simple stairs by eddief66 - they do not seem to be available any longer, but they were okay to use in my previous download so they should still be.
Use the Clean installer to install the lot segment only if you already have these downloads (so that you do not the useless duplicates) or if you just do not want them. However, if you do not already have the terrain paint you must install it, or you might get flashing grounds.. And if you don't install the stairs your sims will have a hard time getting up in the tree...

I do not think the package for the invisible ladder was included in the lot package, so I recommend that you get it and recolor the ladder yourself.
Terrain Mod: Country Roads For Grass Neighbourhoods and the floors to match - by Stev84 - http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=212806
These are the roads that you can see in the background in the pictures, it's a MUST for any medieval or fantasy neighbourhood. They come with floors that you can use to replace the asfalt outside the house to match, it's absolutely great! I have not included any of it, since you might want to use some other hack, there are several here at MTS2 under the same category as Stev84:s.

Known issues: A funny thing if you have the Pets EP is that stray animals probably will wander into your house since there is no inside.. The sims sometimes complain about getting up the stairs, but I think it's because they can't have two sims at the same time, and if they should complain either wait or try to have them go to somewhere inbetween where they are and where you want them to go first. If you don't have a privacy hack they will probably complain about that the bathroom has no walls.. The swimable lake should not let your sims swim out of it, but if it does, be sure to make them climb the ladder as quick as you can, else they might get stuck in 'pool mode'..

Vanimelda means "Lady beloved/dear" in Quenja - the Tolkien language of the Elves..
