I don't even like copper much, and I still think these are gorgeous! Very nice job -- lovely sheen on the appliances.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

That's beautiful. I want these in real life. They'd go with my Revere Ware. I'd finally have a good reason to shine up the bottoms and hang them for display!

Your site BogsSims there is a good start! I downloaded a couple of build mode files.

I got these into my game now and I have to say they look even better than I anticipated. The food processor looks slightly more orange and less metallic copper than the other pieces, but maybe that couldn't be avoided. At any rate, it's a great recolor--just sensational.

My favourite color ever. I love metal kitchens. It would be wonderful to make recolors of the counters too (don't take it as a request...)

Very Nice. Now we won't have to have our nice shiny kitchens with that awful green colored trash compactor... Good Job!

Ooh pretty!! Thanks for including so many items in the recolor! I hate when the food processors and expresso machines, etc., don't match! This is a great collection!!

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words! I was really surprised to come here this morning and see all the favorable responses!

Silky-M, I totally forgot to mention that in the original thread. Yes, unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about the food processor texture. The texture image is very small with the only real detail being the buttons on a square. The rest of the small amount of texture is mapped over the entire food processor so unfortunately it either has to be a fairly solid color or look stretched horribly. The espresso machine doesn't look nearly as shiny as I would've liked either but no matter what I tweaked, it refused to take on a shinier look.

Well, I have this kitchen in a couple of homes now. It looks fabulous with white Tuscan counters.

Ohh, I love the copper!! Thanks!

Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense.

If you load the mesh for the Food Processor into Milkshape, re-do the UV map to a larger image, and then use the 'Build DXT' option after you have re-imported the mesh and use a larger image, it will automatically create the sizes for you, and you should be able to get the detail you want then

Nice job by the way, the one thing that annoyed me about the standard maxis kitchen items, is that NONE of it matched

FifthAce2007, thanks so much for the tip! I've been on hiatus from Sims stuff for a few months now but will be getting back to it shortly. (It's pretty bad when a person needs a vacation from a game, isn't it?)

And its un-matchiness was the reason it was on my to-do instead of finished list for so long! Every one of the textures for the base game appliances have different settings for the finishes and without changing them it's nearly impossible to have anything match. It isn't just the kitchen stuff, either--the bathroom fixtures are the same way. When I started to work on creating complete bathroom set retextures is when I noticed that. The settings will give the same look for the inexpensive sink and toilet and one of the bathtubs, then the more expensive things will likely match each other but if you want them all to match, they all their values changed, which thankfully is really easy to do, but if a person doesn't know to do it or how to do it they're sunk.
