Leave your rural origins behind you, when you move into this darling residence in the heart of the big smoke.
Perfect for those just arrived in town, this furnished house is designed for a single occupant. A working couple, saving their pennies while they get settled, might also appreciate the compact design and no-fuss convenience of this tiny residence. The rates are low, too.
The house is solidly built of white stone, accented by black iron railings. Inside the double doors, you will step into the main room, with the dinette kitchen on one side and lounge on the other. A toilet is hidden at the rear, and stylish spiral stairs lead up to the rest of the house.
The second floor contains the bathroom and bedroom. There is a study corner in the bedroom, and a private balcony just big enough for sitting, or perhaps for an easel.
Upstairs again, you will find a delightful roof garden. There is room here for entertaining, watching the stars, or just enjoying the sunshine. The attached photo shows the roof as it was under the previous owner. The plants are still thriving. although the recliner is gone!
Notes for Players:
EDIT - if you don't already have marvine's spiral stairs, you will need to download the animations file as well as my lot file - either from marvine's thread or from here. Sorry I forgot to include it originally.
It would be possible to dig out the basement to create another room if desired. However, it would be tricky to see what was happening down there, and you'd have to leave the lights on.
The snapshots show the building from a good playing angle, with the included furnishings. The house can also be played from front-on, which shows the balcony as well.
Phone, TV and alarms are included, as well as a bookcase to get those skills started. I had a sim working out in the lounge area, despite it being so tiny, so there IS room. Just.
The top-down room photos, and the furnished roof shot, were taken while the house was occupied, and will show extra/different items.
The shrubs on the roof are plastic, but will collect snow if you have Seasons.
There shouldn't be any issues, but report if something doesn't work. Enjoy the house, and keep it free!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
One of the best things about the Sims 2 community is the generosity of so many people, who make things, write tutorials and generally encourage everyone to get the most out of the game. I have benefited enormously from the work and advice of many others, and I thank them for their time and effort.
If you like my work, remember to hit the Thanks button. It's nice to feel appreciated. Constructive feedback is also welcome - I can't fix it if I don't know it's broke.
Please enjoy my creations, and keep it free!
