This is Farrah Fawcett who starred as detective Jill Munroe of Charlie's Angels. She was only on the show for one season, after which she was replaced by Cheryl Ladd. But that was long enough to establish her as an iconic sex symbol of the 1970's. Her hairstyle was huge not only in poofyness, but also in popularity. I was about 9 or 10 when I first heard of her, and like millions of other little girls who were permitted to stay up past their bedtimes by parents too busy swinging, divorcing, dating, or engaged in some other form of post-60's family dysfunction, I soon worshipped her and copied her hairstyle and her famous toothy smile--not much of a stretch since I, too, had a big mouth and a lotta teeth. The hair was easy to get--my mom was a stylist.
In her heyday, she was known as Farrah Fawcett-Majors, because at the time she was married to another Seventies' tv star, Lee Majors, the bionic man. Alas, Lee went off to film a movie and uttered the incredibly naive request to his best friend Ryan O'Neal that I'm sure he regrets to this day "Hey Ryan, look after my wife for me while I'm gone, won't you?" I don't know if those were his exact words, but according to the tabloids of the day, that's close enough. Such a request ought to come with its own sound effect--something that denotes doom, don't you think? If I had an attractive best friend, I would never in fifty million years ask her to look after MY husband. I'd drag his big butt along with me, or I wouldn't go. Call me insecure, call me cynical, but call me married. I like the big lug. I don't feel like breaking in a new husband anytime this century.
Anyway, ignoring all the sanctity of marriage and duties of friendship, his wife & cheesy best friend fell like a ton of bricks for each other and the rest is really tedious, boring history. It should have been a huge scandal, but it barely registered with the media or the public. Ah, the glory days before the internet and the blogosphere were around to beat scandals to death--Brangelina anyone?
Farrah is still around. She's gotten kind of strange over the years and really caught up in posing nude wayyy past the age where any woman in her right mind would want to do such a thing. But with silicone and a few stitches in the right places and a good photographer, I guess anything is possible. Unfortunately, more recently, she's been battling cancer and my good thoughts and prayers are with her, in gratitude for making my childhood brighter in the otherwise horrid tacky recessionary nightmare that was the 1970's. She may be a loopy cheatin ho, but I still adore her and always will. Get well Farrah.

The hair with the black ribbon is by MTS2's own Vxen: http://sumomo.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=245328 The shape of the hair is not anything like I've ever seen on Farrah until much later in her life, but the color is spot-on and it is very flattering to the sim, in-game.

Special Note: Farrah was photographed wearing eyeliner and eyeshadow by Rose at http://www.rosesims.net Unfortunately I didn't realize the makeup was non-distributable until I went through the approval queue. So the new file has been uploaded with the eyeshadow by Bruno and the Eyeliner by KamiKitten as stated above. Thanks to these two artists for their policies that permit redistribution with proper credit. The two new items still preserve Farrah's appearance, which isn't entirely dependent on makeup anyway.
To get the Rose items that are shown, go to her site http://www.rosesims2.net and go to the MAKEUP section, go to page 4 for the eyeshadow. It is the top row, far right set of eye shadow--I think. At least that's the set that has thumbnails most closely matching the Bodyshop Icon. If that isn't right, try Page 5, bottom middle. The eyeliner --Lord help me I couldn't tell and I looked and redownloaded and file names don't match pop up names or icons. So very sorry about that but the eyeliner is not crucial. There are any number of Kamikitten ones that work just as well. I would have used them in the photoshoot but I'd been playing Farrah for over a year with the Rose content so I just didn't think about it.
