This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

This custom content if it is not clothing, may require a seperate download to work properly. This is available at Colour Enable Package (CEP) by Numenor.

This download is part of the Victorian London Creator Challenge
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
My Victorians were all begging for novels, so I created a Charles Dickens sim to fulfill their desires. Of course, though, Humble's computer just wouldn't do in his writing room. If only I had the time to learn about meshing (I will soon!), I would have made something that looked a little more like this fabulous design, alas, a recolor will have to do for now. I pulled some of the texture from those images.

This is a recolor of the Little Sister, WD15 computer from the base game. If I have a bit of time, I will also try a recolor of Humble's computer.

Not too many changes, as you can see, but it seems to fit in WAY better in the houses I allow computers in than say, that big white cheap Moneywell desktop.

Enjoy!

You probably need the CEP for this to show up.

Note: I've already submitted an entry for this month's challenge contest, and do not wish for this to be considered. I just wanted to group it with the other things of this theme.

Custom Content by Me:
- Steampunk Recolor of Maxis "Little Sister" Computer

Additional Credits:
Do with this what you like. Let me know what you think, I always love to hear suggestions. If anyone is willing to make an actual new mesh for a steampunk computer, I would LOVE to see it when it's done.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

I love steampunk ever since I read 'Wicked', a take on the witch from the wizard of Oz. This is perfect for so many venues. ..even a castle or pirate ship. Excellant. Anymore steampunk items from you or coming up soon?

Wicked was definitely an inspiration for me too. I had a few more simple recolors in the works, but I have had too little time to play and create that I doubt they will be posted any time soon. I'm glad you enjoyed! I'd love to see more people creating steampunk stuff.

Musiquefille's Modest Mods - well, lots really.

Gosh I wish I could steampunk my whole house! Unfortunately raising 4 year olds who have the whole Fisher Price thing going on isn't conducive to that. That computer you linked to was sheer genius. And so is your Sims version. I love it.

So glad you like it! I wish I had gotten around to doing the other computer in the game from Freetime, sadly I'm not creating very much any more. I barely get to play!

I don't make historic neighbourhoods (too many things need to be adapted), but this will look great in modern-day lots with a 19th-century decoration.

By the way, if anyone here wants to write a novel without using a computer, download this amazing object by MogHugson: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=416677 With it, Sims can write books on actual paper. It's perfect for Victorian sims.
