This is awesome, and heading straight for my downloads folder. Is it possible to make the townies wear medieval clothing as well, does anyone know?

Glad you like it.

Well, yes, I did it in my medieval AnyGame, though it was a long process. I used Jordi's teleporter: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=188501 to teleport townies to a lot, and I selected "Move In" to move in the townies. On the lot, I had the Shop-at-home coat hook: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=225251 and I had a Sim "purchase" all the clothes. I also placed a mirror on the lot. Then, I had the moved in townie plan their outfits and change their appearance. When they were totally "medieval-ified", I made them a townie again, by clicking "Make me a townie" on the teleporter.

Also, I heard if you have Bon Voyage (I don't have this EP in my AnyGame), you can change the appearance of townies with the NPC and Townie Maker from boolprop, but I don't think you can change clothing...

Hi guys, I was just passing by and I read you are creating "Medieval Neighborhoods". Is there a way to make EVERYONE in town (meaning townies and others NPCs) dress like old times? I can get used to see my Regency Sims cooking microwave food (hahaha) but I simply hate when they are visited by townies in jeans or mini-skirts.

now all they EA need to do is an expansion pack with medieval hoods and maybe other themes like tudor or futuristic, or even elven.
then they can use this, your stuff could be in a proper sims 2 ep!

thanks for this, i am sick of names like count derek.

AWESOME!!! I'm also a medieval addict and play nothing else. I just got my puter fixed (fried my hd and not been able to play my sims2 for 2 months, ah but was able to recover my documents folder so I'm set) and so which means I have to start all over again, so I'm hoping that if I put this file in before I call the game up again maybe my townies won't be maxisified.

Can't thank you enough, great job!!

What a great idea, and the names look as if you really put some work into finding good ones. Thank you very much!

I adore these names, most of them are names I quite like in real life, so I'm very happy to see them on my townies.

Much thanks for this.

Great mod! Will this also assign names to NPC's? I'm developing a medieval/fantasy hood myself. I have no townies, only my playable sims and NPC's.

BTW, I have stumbled upon a way to alter NPC's clothing here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthre...5#startcomments

I posted a question in Phaenoh's journal, so I'd still be interested in what you have come up with.

Yes, will this also assign these names to maids, gardeners, bartenders, etc? I play with notownieregen, so I don't actually have any "townies".

Yes, this will also assign these names to any NPCs that are are generated after the installation of the package. Any existing townies and NPCs currently in your game without my defaults will NOT be affected, but any new ones after that will have the names I have come up with.

Jmtmom: I will take a look at that. It's a bit hard for me to understand, as it uses a previous version of SimPE and I'm not very good at modding, but maybe I'll give it a try! Thanks.

If only I could have them both...
As much as I would like to download this NPC name change mod, I have another one already downloaded. Will this mod conflict with another NPC name-changer mod already installed?
Doing all the things, and *mostly* not failing.

You can only have one installed at a time, but these types of mods do not rename any existing townies, so you can use one for a while and then switch to the other. Then you will have a mix of both.

This is great! But I have a question; Will this conflict with any other name packs or will the generators work off of each other?

I'm going to give the medieval hood a try, and these are pretty nice names.

Instead of killing off townies or doing a clean template, though...I can just change names via SimPE.
