I have all EPs and SPs so I guess I do not need that.

Currently playing Sims 4 full collection. (and fixing my mods folder)

If you mean that you don't need the new 1.1 version, then yah the older 1.0 is ok. But if another mod says this Game Edition addon is required, then yes you do need some version of it because that another mod will malfunction without it.

I downloaded this hack because it was a required for the puppy, kitten and toddlers to go to a community lot. it worked but I can't stop the game base notification that kept popping up. so I deleted it out of my files but it still keeps coming up.

what do I do?

What "game base notification"? You mean the "Custom Content" notification, right? If you mean what I think you mean, put this back in and ignore that.

Default the sink phantom
I did what you said but each time my sims go near a sink the message( the sims 2 base game is installed) then it cancels out all animation and actions giving to sim.

Oh, I know what happened: you extracted and installed the TESTING archives that were included in the main archive. Delete the stuff you extracted from THEM, and the sink thing will go away. Do you need to be told what was in the testing archives, so you delete the right stuff? The only file you need from this download is df_game_edition_addon.package

Default What does it do?
What does this actually do? ~either, does it install the other EP/SP you don't have? ~or either it just allows modders or like people who make stuff make stuff for that EP ???? HELP!

Sentoryu Raven, this just sits unused in your Downloads folder, until one of the author`s other hacks needs to know what expansions you have installed. That other hack then asks this hack to investigate, and this hack tells the other hack what it found. The other hack then knows what optional behavior to offer.

The advantages of doing it this way: dickhurt didn`t need to keep all of his hacks` game edition detection code updated individually, and didn`t need to re-upload any of them unless he enhanced them to actually USE new features of the new expansions.

Basicaly, this just makes it easier for his hacks, or other people`s hacks if they choose to use this, to detect and adapt to whatever expansions a downloader hapens to have installed.

Excellent work! The docs file contained in the archive is the best explanation I've read on game engine anomalies and version detection. Thank you.

Thank you SO much for this! I love your mods, but I had to delete all the sinks on my Sims' lots every time I played. Now I know why! lol Thanks again! :D

When I downloaded this I didn't understand that the testing part was actually a part of the download file. I had to hunt for it later after I found out it was in the original file. Why does it have to be there? Are there that many who are creating their own hacks that it is more convenient to have it there? Why not have it as a separate file for these folks who want it as they are most likely the most savvy about this sort of thing anyway. Not being critical really. I understand why you made this file to go with all your hacks so we don't end up with several of the same thing. Thanks for your work. It usually makes the game more interesting.

The hourglass just churns and churns...the taskmanager says the game is still running...nothing!

THEN...I get the infamous "CLP - Controller Lot Populator" error that won't go away. So...I assume I've put the game addition addon somewhere it shouldn't belong...I don't know... please help me...and thanks so much for these long awaited...well needed hacks. I have all expansions up to AL...and I donot have Pescados Phone Hack.

Thanks so much.

In case this comes up in a web search for someone, when I had this issue it wasn't caused by this hack. For me the error was caused by:

- Using the Visitor Controller (original TwoJeffs version)
- Setting the Visitor Controller up on any lot to exclude/allow sims with certain hobbies
- Visiting the lot once again.

Apparently, it gets confused because some townie or NPC sims will not have a "one true hobby" set, so it doesn't know if it can choose them or not.

Midgethetree updated the Visitor Controller and fixed this issue: https://midgethetree.tumblr.com/pos...ws-toga-parties

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...
