Ohhhh, pretty. Maxis did us all a favour by giving our sims ceilings but there was a lack of proper ceiling tiles. Now you've solved all our problems with these lovely designs. Thank you!

Glad you all liked them... I quickly got bored with the Maxis ones! Here's a little ceiling building tip - if you want to have the same ceiling throughout your house, build your outside walls first, then place the ceiling - then do the inside walls....its a whole lot easier than trying to get ceiling tiles in all those closets! LOL.

I know that these will not be usable to their full potential without Apartment Life, but can those of us without AL use them at all? The original post seems to imply that we can, but it isn`t clear on the subject.

sorry about that being unclear....they can be used as floor tiles but they are very white so I don't recommend it because white has a tendancy to look bad when in direct light within the game. Because Apartment Life has the ceiling option the white doesn't look as bad because it is shadowed when used as a ceiling tile...some of them do have a tendency to look a little blown out when the lights are turned on. I have never used the modded ceilings so I don't know if they would be compatible with those....as far as I know they are not. But if you wanted to use these without Apartment Life - they can be used as floor tiles.

I was just about to do a search for 'ceilings' when I found yours!

If anyone who has downloaded these still have them, I lost them when I got a bad virus about a month ago. It appears that MTS2 also lost them. Anyway - I would really love to have them back

If you have the Mansion & Garden stuff pack they should work. I only have up to FreeTime and the M&G stuff pack seems to add a lot of the features of Apartment Life, including ceilings. Hope this helps.
