Tired of your alien offspring looking like roadkill with that damn Pollination Tech's ugly genes? Want *attractive* alien kids? Then look no further! I whipped up this small mod to replace the Pollination Tech's facial DNA with more slender, elven features, including the pointy ears that are shown on some of the other pre-made aliens. In addition, he has a new jpeg file to boast these changes.

This was originally made for my own personal use, because I prefer my alien kids sans giant eyes and squished noses, but if anyone else wants abduction offspring that don't look like roadkill then you can grab my mod below.

Please note that this is the *beta* forum, so constructive criticism is welcome.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

Does anyone know if you can use this & Multi-Pollination Technicians together? Or will it mess up the game?

I put the pollination tech in my downloads folder but when I went to test to see the alien babies, the baby was an exact copy of the "human" parent, and it showed that there was no other parent related to it.

It makes me sad because I want alien babies in my game that aren't adopted If anyone knows anything could they please help?

I really want to make my PT. I followed TurboJazn tutorial on how to change the face of the PT. I have the latest SimPe.

I got stucked on the 8th. step. I have the 3 files. I just simply don’t know how and where can I change the ID.

Hi WillaBurrel, and anyone else still reading this thread,

Sorry about reviving an old thread, but I think this might be useful as it's the only guide I've seen that tells you how to make your own default replacement pollination technician. On page 4 of this thread, TurboJAzn posted a step-by-step guide for replacing your PT, but the problem is that the new SimPE is a little bit different from the one used in the guide. I thought I would edit the steps, to make it a little easier:

1. Go into Create-A-Sim debug mode. If you don't know how, go here:

2. Create your alien using the alien genetics. Making a replacement PT with a different skin color like lavender would require changing the default alien skin which is beyond the scope of this tutorial.

3. Once created, enter a neighborhood and place the alien on a small empty lot. Exit the game.

4. Open the package file of your newly created alien. It is found in the Characters folder of your neighborhood and is named something like N00X_User00XXX.package. Sort by Date Modified to make it easier to find.

5. Under the Resource Tree, select Facial Structure. Under the Resource List, right-click on the Facial Structure file and extract it somewhere where you can easily find it.

6. Under the Resource Tree, select jpg/tga/png Image. Under the Resource List, extract both the images to the same place where you can easily find them. You may then close out of the package file by closing SimPE.

7. Open SimPE, click on File--> New to create a new package file. Right-click in the space underneath the Resource List and select Add..., browse to where you extracted the files, and add the files ending in .xml. There should be three in total, two for the jpegs and one for Facial Structure.

8. You should now see the three files listed under the Resource List. Select one of them. Along the bottom edge of SimPE, select the "Resource" tab. In the Group box, change the ID to 0x7F45284D which is the Group ID for Pollination Technician. Click on "force commit", then repeat this for all three files in the Resource List.

9. Click on File--> Save, and name the package file whatever you want. Close SimPE because you are done.

10. Place the newly created package file into your Downloads folder, and Pollination Technician should now be replaced.

I hope I helped anyone trying to figure this out All credit goes to TurboJAzn for the original tutorial.
