Ooh, step 1 in a long line of a hostile takeover of "reality" in the game... I like it. (more meshes means more unique objects, and we totally need them)

Allow the minds eye to zoom in slowly ,untill...
It's saterday morning, 09:00 hours, EA, Sim Devision...
An earie wind blows through the darkened board room as the emergency meeting commences.
On the screen there is a picture of a red biohazard object lying in some simulated grass.
The leader speaks to his subordinates. "Gentlemen, The Modding.... It Has Begun."
Men in Gucci suits start to sweat as the realization slowly dawns on them...
Soon the sims 3 store will have to....... Lower it's prices...
The moment reality strikes the curtains swing open and allow daylight into the dark room.
As the minds eye zooms out, the only thing left to see is a boardroom, now littered with empty Gucci suits.
;P

FADE OUT.

A bare lightbulb shines on an old, worn TV. Its picture flickers while its sound stutters, but still the biohazard symbol can be seen in its bed of grass (now with a couple flowers growing next to it!)
A newscaster vaguely goes on in barely-audible tones about "sims 3 store...activity down by 350%", "free content...downloaded" and "internet". Lots and lots of "internet", repeated through the static when nothing else can be heard.
*The camera zooms out to show a ruined office, with mostly smashed furniture save the TV. The TV itself is balanced on the remains of a desk, supported by what appears to once have been a lamp-stand. Through the doorway of the office we see similar scenes of destruction in cubicles and other offices. One man sits in a threadbare sofa in front of the TV, muttering to himself. Pan around to show the man's face, and we see that it is the leader, now a haggard and emaciated-looking ruin dressed in rags. Zoom out and we see that the entire complex, now consigned to decay and the inexorable forces of entropy, was once the the EA Sim Division...*

*Meanwhile, Maxis re-forms and starts actually making decent Sims games again.*

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
ok, if you can(and if you want to share), we sould be REALLY APPRECIATE if you write us just a quick overview of how you've done it
That'd be really helpful and yes, devestating, utterly perfect

I used the object cloner from Sims 3 tools and the experimental mesh tools I have posted in the Meshing forum here at ModTheSims.

If you like to say what you think, be sure you know which to do first.

M'k. Here's the scoop:

With every new Sims game comes new coding. With that new coding comes the challenge for creators to create their own meshes that can actually be used in game.

The first to crack that "code" for the Sims 2 was WesHowe and he did so with flair by creating a decorative biohazard symbol. As far as I know, other than looking cool and having complicated vertices in order to create it's curved sides, there's no huge significance to the shape he chose. (correct me if I'm wrong there.)

He then proceeded to be the first, once again, to create a new mesh for the Sims 3 by re-creating the biohazard mesh and getting it to work with an entirely new set of codes that came with the Sims 3.

That's all 'it' is, but at the time it was posted, it was a huge leap forward; the first stepping stone to the amazing modding world we know and love.

It now stands as a monument to his success. Bask in it's glory!
