WOOT!!! This has been needed for a long time! Thanks!

Does this overwrite the Maxis one? Or, do I need a hider for it? (I don't want two tables - espescially when one is NOT recolorable!)

I'm DL-ing now... thanks!

This is fan-freaking-tastic. I wonder, though, if the "dirty" state occurs when a child or toddler has colored on all of the free slots and an older sim has to "clean up" before the table can be used for drawing again...

Mods rock my sox.

this would look like this:
This is not a game shot, it's just a test recolour.
"Fun" in that the "dirty" state does not occur. Never, as far as I know. If I am wrong, and there are situations where the table appears "dirty" recolor, please let me know.

Currently in my work "clean" rekolor "connected" both "pure" and "dirty" txmt's. Unfortunately, my knowledge does not make it possible to do this table "dirty" against the will of maxis. I'm sorry.

If it overwrites the Eaxis one, does that mean that if you delete this one the original dissappears as well? If so you should include a warning.

Some people like replacements files, others - do not like. I must warn all of them.

My "warning" says mainly on the behavior of the object. That is, you can continue to enjoy the original maxis or not, if you put my file in a dovnloads folder. - Placing in your game Irma_ActivityTable_REPLACEMENT.package, you can't see in the Catalog of the original maxis activity table simultaneously.

I'm sorry, I do not fully understand what kind of specific deleting in your question.
If you mean able to remove the activity table from the Catalog, you can do it does not matter you have a replacement in downloads folder, or do not have any replacements. In any case, after cleaning
...\Your_Documents\The Sims 2\Thumbnails\ folder (or delete if not mistaken, only ObjectThumbnails.package), you will be back to "deleted" original object maxis in his usual place in the catalog.

Either way deleting anything in the game from the catalog you will never delete an original maxis object "forever", as it says the game.

I've looked at your package it doesn't appear to be a replacement, it looks like you've made a new object.

eta: It does replace it since you have used the same GUIDs, however the internal file name is different and it is creating the cc * in the catalog. If this is deleted in game it could cause the objects.package to become corrupt. Which could corrupt the game install.

You have more resources in the package than required to make it recolorable and override the game one.

Thank You! Could you clarify which extra resources involved? Or recommend a tutorial?
Unfortunately, I'm sure I made the changes, were needed. - And what in this situation, I should do? Register the object as a separate object or really can be limited "warning"? - I am truly sorry about this situation.

And if it is not too much, please, could you watch my Rinks Replacements? I would not want to crash someone's game.

It sounds very childish, but apparently I really could not find an appropriate tutorial while looking for him long time not only to MTS. I am very sorry.

One more thank you.

Sorry I added to my original post and we seem to be posting/editing at the same time. But the first reason it appeared to be a new object is because you have changed the internal file name and now it has ##0x1C050000! in it. But you did leave the GUIDs the same. And yes, I did see your additional invisible recolor added in, and congrats on getting that added color in.

So to answer some questions: Yes this is a replacement and no hider will be required. Yes that it also has a cc* on it in game and if you delete in game it may corrupt your objects package. So just don't delete in game. :D

You haven't broken any rules, it's just important to give the downloader all the information they are looking for. You don't have to change the package. You can leave it as is or adjust the package the choice is yours. It works as it should from what I can see. If you want to leave it I would suggest adding in the overview that it will overwrite the original but will add a cc * in the catalog.

Typically when making a replacement object recolorable you only need the GMND, SHPE, and if you change the mesh then the GMDC. This one has different states so it may need something else, I'm not sure without looking at it closer. And I don't think there are really any tutorials about making replacement objects.

Thank you! Unfortunately, in this particular case, I'm sure correction SHPE was very desirable. Although it did not solve the problem of "dirty" recolor, as I'd hoped.

I think I will leave it as is, with warning, as you said. And some time later added files with table and recolours as a separated object with unic. GUID for those who do not like dangerous replacements. Unless, of course, is not contrary to the Rules.

Once again, many thanks! - I do not envisages a meeting so many reefs. I am very sorry.

And special thanks to simathome! I do not understand you and sincerely regret.

=============

I think choosing between small improvements and safety, the majority will choose safety. So I converted all the whole project in accordance to new information.

I think now my work this replacement, which can be safely placed in your folder downloads. If you downloaded my work before 16/dec/2009, please download again both parts, replacement and recolours.

This is most definitely needed.
I liked the activity table, but hated the color of it. Thanks for making this object usable.

You can make all the packages in Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2 (name of EP) read-only, so they cannot be damaged by deleting any replacement files which have caused the custom content mark to appear.

You can also set the version to be Free Time, so the custom content mark won't appear, but it may still be deleteable.
