I love this - My mum was a nurse and it reminds me of her and her nursing friends. They stayed with their old people though, even as LPNs and RNs.

Thank you! It always bothered me that the medicine career had the EMT to Nurse to Doctor transition. Some EMTs want to be EMTs! And some nurses just really love nursing and have no intention of going to medical school (myself included!)

So thank you for this!

It's true. I'm an EMT and have no intention to becoming a nurse or a doctor. EMS has a whole career track of its own today. Thanks for the Nursing Career, I look forward to it, since I have a familiarity with the actual career. Looks to be loads of fun.

Not sure if this is fluke or supposed to happen...and I hope I'm not spoiling anything...one of my sims became a millionaire because of one of the chance cards. Was this supposed to happen?

I ran into a problem. I have two members of a household with custom careers. This one and the modelling career from rspn99 here at MTS. When the sim with the nursing career wanted to go to work, Error Trap reset it and plopped between the model sim and the nursing sim once.
My patch 1.67 and Twallan's Career mod is up to date.

Sounds like someone's trying this in the wrong game...

Trying this one out. First thing I discovered is that the Skill Requirements needed fine-tuning, which is an easy fix "to taste" in SimPE, as long as you remember that skills increase in 100 point increments and you don't leave any slots blank (if in doubt, use the previous value).

Next thing to check is going to be days and hours, to see if the demands are Simanly possible. :-)

Still tweaking this mod to taste. Concluded that Level 6, "Nurse Educator", should be a first shift, not second shift job (i.e. 9 to 5, not 3 to 11), and set it accordingly. If you' re teaching, you want it to be while your students are awake and alert, not while they are yawning and nodding their way through night school.
