The SquareOne - not your ordinary square box

Due to a shift in the time-space continuum that happened in my studio last night around 0'dark-thirty... the furniture is not included for this lot. It appears the furniture didn't make the shift and is stuck on the mother-ship listening to Bach. The stereo, of course, as part of the furnishings, is stuck also. Now I can't change the station... (Lesson learned: If you're using Inge Jone's spectacular "Stay Things Shrub" remember to click on it and set the furnishings to "Stay" before moving the test-family out. Oi.) That being said, this house has been play-tested with the furniture set-up as shown in the pictures. Furniture is not included - but, most of it was Maxis stuff so you could recreate what I had easily enough. On the plus-side - without the furnishings you may not need all the EPs/SPs listed for this house. It may be usable with just NL (needed for the driveway.) Dunno. Use at your own risk. Yes, you do need all 4 EPs: UNI NL BV and MG - see Mootilda's comment (#2) and back-up first!!! Then, enjoy!

I made this to be UNI NL BV MG, with the help of Numenor's Any Game Starter (Thank you , Numenor!) The sims2pack download files have been thoroughly cleaned with the Clean Installer (S2PCI). The .rar download contains two sims2packs - you need to install BOTH of them. I couldn't get them to all jump into the same file. *sigh*

MAIN FEATURES:

• Lot size: 30X30 (3X3)

• Around 1,904 sq ft covered living space (not including the atrium) - 3 bedroom, 2 bath, dining room, living room, family room, kitchen with breakfast bar, and carport, all surrounding an open-air atrium.

• Around $44,421 simoleons - I say "around" because I have extensively re-organized my build/buy catalogues and, in doing so, re-priced most everything. I don't know if this will effect the cost in your game or not. If it does, maybe your Sims qualify for a huge tax break? Inheritance? Or, it's their turn to win the lottery?

• The Master Suite opens directly to the atrium and shares part of it's bathroom, the WC part, for visitors to use - accessible via the living room

• Unfurnished - Kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, lights, plants, carpet, tile, and wallpaper included. Pictures, below, showing furniture are here just to give you some placement ideas.

• Wired for cable/TV

• Phone and alarm systems included (for both fire and burglar)

• Kitchen appliances have the Maxis brand 5-star Energy Efficient rating from Consimer's Reports

• Solar Panels - time to get clean and go green, Simerica! (...and the rest of the world too)

• A neutral color scheme with textured ceilings throughout

• Quality Maxis doors and full length windows

• Cozy rough-hewn stone fireplace in the family room to aid against winter chills

• Pergola styled carport

• Round landscape borders (by Numenor and MaryLou)

• Mature Landscaping: including roses, wisteria, century plants, plumeria, birch and bay trees

A note about the above 'floor plan' picture... since I had to redo a few things anyway I thought I'd change two of the floors shown in the furnitured shot - I thought the place needed a bit more contrast. These floors are not included - but if you want them (and who wouldn't? They're beautiful!) the links are as follows:

Install Instructions

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).

• You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
