Victoria Terrace – Apartments

This terrace is based upon some houses that I pass everyday on my way to work and the house that I lived in when I first got married 29 years ago, which is in the same street but not the same terrace. They are traditional two up, two down, with the bathroom tagged on the back. My garden was 100 feet long but only 15 feet wide!

I am unable to replicate these houses exactly as they are because it just doesn’t work within the constraints of Sims.
• Path down the middle of the garden being the divide between two houses.
• Right of access immediately outside the back door
• Right of access to the shed and outside toilet situated in the garden of the end house (they’d turned ours into a raised flower bed!)

I have recreated the 70’s house too (greyish brick house). The one that was ‘updated’ with stone cladding to the front only (the back remains brick as people only clad the front of their houses!), modern windows (that didn’t match the rest of the Victorian ones in the street) and the avocado bathroom, which was the vogue in the 1970s!

I’ve also taken advantage of the small piece of land that was leftover and created the ‘extension’.

So these houses (apartments) have the following, working from left to right:

House 1 (red brick with extension)
Lounge
Office/music room
Dining room
Kitchen
Bathroom (downstairs)
3 bedrooms, one en suite
Front and rear gardens

House 2 (grey 70’s style brick)
Lounge
Kitchen/Dining room
Bathroom (downstairs)
2 bedrooms
Rear garden

House 3 (red brick)
Lounge
Kitchen/Dining room
Bathroom (downstairs)
2 bedrooms
Rear garden

House 4 (white painted brick with loft conversion)
Lounge/Dining room
Kitchen
Bathroom (downstairs)
4 bedrooms, one in the loft
Front and rear gardens

Custom content not included, optional
For some reason the CC bedding hasn’t packaged with the lot so, if you want your houses to look the same as mine you’ll need to download the following:

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Wow, really impressive. Looks like you put a lot of effort into this. I usually hate apartments because they only have 1 or 2 bedrooms but these little homes are, well, not so little and that's great. It's hard to really take it all in from the pictures since there's so much to look at, so I can't wait to see it in the game.

I love this - thank you - it is EXACTLY what I dreamed of when AL came out and I was so sad that there were none in game. It looks like a small terrace in a typical English street.

I LOVE this...green is one of my favourite colours and I see you've used it a lot throughout. I particularly like the gardens at the back!

Lady Angel: I hadn't realised I'd used so much green, they're all different though! Glad you like it. BTW my favourite colour is purple!

I think this will work without ikea. You will be missing a few items. Let me know how you get on

Want a specific style of house or community building? Why not take a look at my profile and see what I build and then come ask me to make it!

I really like these, but for some reason when I've tried to move a family in, I can still see the inside of all the other apartments' second floor. I did change the windows to the apartment with the small yard and hot tub to be the same as the others, but can't think why it seems to think the entire second floor is like a common area. (already looked at walls, stairs, fences issue)

edit: Did a bit more testing. It seems even just deleting the CC plantation coffee table (I edited the apartment "the proper way" outlined here: http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Game_gui...ng_an_apartment, just realized I didn't even need to do this if just adding/removing furniture). I left the windows alone in this newly placed copy of the apartments.

Also tried deleting regular Maxis object, a kitchen counter, to see if it had same effect. Looks like making any change at all makes the 2nd floor visible. It works fine if I don't make changes, but I figured I should be able to edit furnishings if I wanted. Really want to make it work since it looks great otherwise!
