Those of you that have played the game 'Red Dead Redemption' should hopefully recognise this home as the notorious Tumbleweed Mansion. I have been interested in the house ever since I saw it appear on the horizon in the game. I just had to investigate, and I was pleased with what I found.
But as beautiful as it was in its state of decay, I always wanted to see it restored. Even though it isn't real, I still felt the need so 'save' it, as ti do for all old houses in a state of decay. So that is what I have done with this creation.
However, I have altered the general layout of the home and added a lot more windows. I tried to keep the floor plan as true to the original as possible. But when I hade perfected the exterior I found I had a lot more room on the interior that the original. So I have added some extra rooms on the side of the staircases where orignally there wasn't. I've also added a lot more bathrooms, although in doing so I have had to block up the doorway that originally connected the back two bedrooms. I've also added a staircase to give access to the attic, which in the original had collapsed into the rest of the house below.
The world that I have built the house in comes to us courtesey of the Sims 3 Creators' Consortiumm and can be found here.
I wouldn't have been inspired to build this home or my Big Ol' Riverboat lots without this world.
The house itself is built on a 40 by 40 lot which costs 170,764 Simoleons furnished and 107,651 Simoleons unfurnished.
I simply have to thank those over on the Creator Feedback Forum who helped me with this lot, it just wouldn't have looked so good and made it this far without you. Johnny Bravo and SimmyRN especially.
P.S. I'll post some more interior pictures in the comments section. I really enjoyed taking pictures of this one.

2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

About Me
Well, what can i say, I enjoy playing Sims. Please feel free to use and enjoy my creations, all i ask in return is that you do not re-upload them to other sites claiming them as your own. Thank You. I greatly appreciate feedback and hope that my lots are to your liking.
P.S. It would be very interesting to see pics of what you've done with the lots I have created, and the kinds of sims you've got living there, Or if they've been used in stories. But most importantly... Have Fun!!!
