When I first played the Pets expansion-pack I was very dissapointed to see, that there were no Akita Inu Breed. Only the Amerikan Akita was included by EA. Since I don't like the American Akita very much, I created the original japanese breed, the Akita Inu!

Akita Inu come in five colours:
- Red Urajiro, fox-red with white markings on muzzle, cheeks, underside of jaw, neck, chest, body and tail and on the inside of the legs.
- solid White (with black nose)
- Brindle, three brindle-types exist:
-- Akatora (Red Brindle)
-- Kurotora (Black Brindle)
-- Shimofuri (Silver Brindle)

The personality of all five dogs include the trait "loyal", because Akita Inu are very very loyal to their owners. You may have heard about Hachiko, the dog that waited at Shibuya-Staion evey day for his owner to come back from work. Even after his owner died (only two years after he adopted the dog) Hachiko still went every day to Shibuya-Station, waiting for his beloved owner.
He waited until he died nine years later.
