thank you, could you make a mod that stops sims from using their damn smartphone period?

Very annoying that my hobo's on their junkyard are streaming videos and such.

My sims is in the health career (and is a celebrity with star rank 4) and when he is out doing free clinics ect, the job queue still gets stomped by fans who want to take pictures... I got the latest patch 1,63 and all expansions installed.

Love the idea of the mod though!! thank you!

@Inhuman - I wish I could. I think that might take more than an XML mod though.

@LuckyStar - I have gotten a few cell phone pictures taken of some of my Sims lately, which means they must have introduced something new that I need to add to it. It will take some time to figure out what it is, though - there are a lot of tuning files that access the cell phone.

Doesn't seem to work for me.. i am on patch 1.63 tho.....

The "Celebrity Manager XML" also needs adjusting to reflect the non autonomous changes you make in the TakeCellPhonePhotoSingle ITUN. Sims are still given the push to take photos with celebrities in the prior xml, so the latter ITUN made non autonomous is pointless on its own. Furthermore, there is a second ITUN TakeCellPhonePaired that is also part of the celebrity photo system and sims will simply default to that method if the ITUN is not made non autonomous also. With those three files adjusted, that will end the celebrity cell phone photos for good.

Thanks for that info! I'll have to add those to it and update this at some point. Personally, now I just turn off the whole celebrity system using NRaas, because I can't stand any of it.

Confirming your observation. As of 2016 and 2017 (I tried checking back and re-downloading on a clean game this year), I've discovered that this mod no longer works on games updated past 1.5. I don't think it's been updated.

I am sorry! I had completely forgotten about this mod, since I turn the celebrity system off in my own game.

It should now be updated, as I've modified the Celebrity Manager XML as well. I haven't tested it myself as I'm currently building and not playing Sims, so if there are further issues, please let me know.

Thanks for updating this, I can confirm it works in 1.69 for me. I used to be plagued by this issue with my celebrity legacy household. I played that household for several hours today and didn't have any interruptions anymore despite my sims spending a lot of time out in town surrounded by other sims.
