The faces are not going into my game please help!!

Did you ever get them to go in your game. If not, make sure you don't already have a set of Default Face Templates in your download file. You can mix and match faces made by different creators, but you can only have one type at a time. For instance, the 1st one is "heart", so if you have the "heart" version by...say...Selzi...then you would have to remove it to replace it with...say...mine. Other than that, they will automatically replace the Maxis faces once placed in your download file. I hope this helps...And sorry it took me so long to reply.

Recently downloaded them because they look great but can't seem to get them to work in-game. I don't have any other face templates but I can't quite seem to see anything. Admittedly I'm somewhat new to modding in Sims but I think I followed the instructions right. I have them extracted into my downloads folder, and I took them out of the folders they were in after extraction. Any suggestions?

Hmmm... I know I was confused the first time I downloaded default replacement face templates. The reason for my confusion was because the thumbnail picture was still the maxis version. However, when I clicked on it, it would be the face that I had downloaded. I don't know if this is your issue, or if they just aren't showing up at all? So, if it is the picture/thumbnail, just empty out the thumbnail folder: Documents/EA games/Sims 2/thumbnails (just open it and delete all the thumbnails. The game will create more and your new faces should appear. If this terrifies you, then just save a copy of the original file on your desktop- or somewhere where you can find it easily-but run your game with the file that has the deleted contents.) Other than that, it sounds like you have done everything else. I wish I had more to tell you. I apologize that it took me this long to respond, but I hope that it has helped?!
