I was making a modern at first, just making a 'normal' modern without thinking it would be anything special. And by 'special', I'm not downplaying my building abilities, I merely meant I was simply making a home with nothing in mind.

Till... I had something in mind. Some of you may have seen my latest male sim Ethan Perry. His story, that he owns a plumbot that was his dad's, got me an idea when I was making this house. I thought, what if no one knew about Ethan's background, that he has visited the future. I thought realistically, because surely if someone traveled to the future and didn't want to get a lot of attention, you would want to keep it secret, right? That is the idea behind this house! There is a room that looks like a closet that is actually the door to the special ITF elevator. On the second floor, is a large room perfect for your futuristic needs, but this house is meant for the modern world and looks like such. Anyway, this room has a bot building station, the time portal, 2 plumbot charging stations, and a desk. If you want to make this 'secret room' more authentic, you can delete the door to the room on the second floor and lock the door to the elevator to only allow sims of your household into it.

I know you can still 'kinda' see the room from the street. Just pretend that the windows are tinted .

And you could easily converted the futuristic room into something else. Maybe your sim is a famous painter that doesn't want anyone to see what they're working on. You could make it a large library, the options are endless. It's one big room!

For the story of the house:

Twenty years ago, Steve Perry, an inventor, invented the time portal. He traveled to the future and back, and it was all successful. He enjoyed living in the future so after only a day of him gone, his age difference from the day before could be noticeable, because he would spend a few years at a time in the future some of the time. He knew that during that small window it took for him to come home, he would need to make sure no one could guess where he really was, the true nature of his profession. He was a highly famous plumboticist in 2500. So he decided to convert a room of his fairly large modern home to a plumbot room and office. He hid away one of the fancy elevators from the future, and implemented tinted windows in the room. He was so sure this would be the solution, and, twenty years later, it seemed to have worked.

Unfortunately, Steve died a premature death and his girl was in the future, so his son Ethan was given the house. He knew his father's secret. He enjoys spending time in his room and traveling to the future. Maybe one day he could make a plumbot as unique as the one his father made, Gamma.

You obviously don't have to use my sim, but you get the idea.
