SECOND UPDATE! - It has been brought to my attention that there is a terrain paint missing from the lot. If you don't already have this terrain paint, you'll get flashing blue terrain on this lot in game. I've added the missing terrain paint to the Files tab. So if you've got the blue flashies with this lot, please download this missing terrain paint and add it to your downloads folder!

UPDATE I thought I didn't use any recolors of Maxis meshes, but I did. If you'd like the window recolors, you'll need MICHELLE'S Maxis-Match dark wood recolor of the Belhooven Maroo window. For the books in the bookcases, you'll want PLASTICBOX'S recolors of the books for the Bibliofile bookcase.

Brick houses and log cabins are 2 of my very favorite homes. When I saw THIS TS3 lot by stonee206 I immediately started working on a TS2 version. Permission was given to share my version so here it is:

↑Nice, pretty shot of the front of the house.

This is a 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath residential lot. (The little bonus room upstairs could be made into a bedroom if needed.) A copy was play tested and everything worked as it should, even that mailbox in an awkward spot. The family I tested with had children (with all of those bedrooms, there had to be children!) and the school bus was able to come and go as it should.

I altered the upstairs layout a little bit to make the little hall wider. This was done to avoid stompy feet (the sims, not mine) - I'm sure it could be make a tile smaller so that long, narrow bedroom could be make a bit wider if you'd like. Then again, there's nothing wrong with a long, narrow bedroom! I had one as a child and I turned out just fine! I'm not fond of small spaces but I'm sure that had nothing to do with my tiny bedroom.

↑The long, narrow bedroom in question.

I tried to stay true to stonee's TS3 version- I managed to do pretty well. There is NO pool in the back. The backyard is small enough as it is- so I left it out so you can put anything you want in the backyard. A family with little ones? Give them a swing set! Nothing but adults living there? Plop down some cool patio furniture, a bar and a spa and let them party it up!

I also tried to stay true to the landscaping. How did I do? Well, lets see:

↑That's just the front, I did pretty good if you ask me.

Something you might wonder about:

↑I included this screenshot to show that the roof should be OFF when playing the upstairs. The way the roof was made causes part of it to stick around when you just go down a floor AND the second floor to not be playable if you go down another floor. So ROOF OFF! (The ends of the largest section of roof will stll be there, as can be seen in the upstairs floor plan. But they don't affect gameplay at all.) Otherwise, let it stay up. It's a pretty nifty looking roof.

The house is mostly furnished- feel free to remove or change anything you'd like so it suits what YOU want!

VERY IMPORTANT:
Custom terrain paints were used in this lot. DO NOT uncheck them in Clean Installer. You MUST install them. If you don't like them, you can remove them with the terrain paint tool in game and save the lot.

There are a few things that aren't included in the download and are REQUIRED to avoid flashing blue meshes:
Sunni's Deco Chimney MASTER - http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/...it=deco+chimney
Holy Simoly's Elegant Curtain MASTER - http://holysimoly.com/index.cfm?go=...155E30DEF43F44B
Mustluvcatz' MASTER Craftsman Column - http://www.digitalperversion.net/ga...71019#msg671019

There are a few things that aren't included but are NOT required- unless you want everything to look exactly the same:
Alleliua's carved stair recolor - http://www.digitalperversion.net/ga...14946#msg614946 - reason for not being included: I honestly have no idea which one I used. They're all awesome though and you should have them if you already don't!
Toto & Nono Lavender - Their TOU says it can't be included - http://toto-et-nono.com/crea/objets02.php - I used it in 2 places. If you don't download it, it won't affect the lot at all. You might not even notice it's not there, lol. (Warning: it is a high poly mesh.)

↑The lavender in question is right there by the big rock.

One last thing:
There is a folder included with some recolors I did. For some reason these did NOT package with the lot- they're recolors of one of my own meshes so I have no idea why. Just install these recolors in your downloads folder BEFORE you install the lot.
There is also a white recolor of Numenor's stair included in the download. I don't remember using it and I swear I unchecked it before repacking the lot. You can safely uncheck it in Clean Installer before installing the lot.
